i've got a question, does anyone know why or what i can do to fix ridiculous long decompression times? i'm at my parents house over the break and i've played GW on this comp before and never had long load time like this on it, even like 5-10 mins for like 10 files in Random Arena, the PC shouldn't have a problem running the game and never did in the past, i turned off everything that doesn't need to be, Norton etc. and still no change...Pc's stats are amd xp 3000+ processor, 1 gig ram, lots of HD space free (over 100gigs), 256mb geforce fx 5900 ultra, i've got a 3000 mb page file or virtual ram, whatever its called. if anyone has any ideas, i'd really appreciate it, i haven't even tried to zone into Gate of Anguish yet, i dont really want to wait over and hour to load a town, and then an additional 4 more hours to load each zone, sigh, oh and i checked the list of running processes and there isn't anyhitng that is taking up ram from it, since its the only program running cept for the bare bones, so idk...any tips would be appreciated

I have the exact same problem that you described.
So far I have tried re-installing, but that didnt do anything to help this.
I should add, that i noticed this problem just a few days ago, so it must be something "new" going on? Haven't had this before.

edit: i noticed that Guildwars in the task manager takes really low amounts system resouces in usage, only about 28 mb, while on another computer, if i alt+tab and check task manager, it takes 300 mb... could there be something wrong here?
