Default Windows XP Pro x64 & Guild Wars problem...

I am experiencing some performance issues when playing Guilds Wars. The problem I am having is horrible Frames Per Second and lag. This only happens when I start combat with a horde of monsters. When I am not fighting, the game runs perfectly but slows to a crawl and lags when I enter combat.

I went searching on the net and it seems to be a software problem and from I can tell it seems to be a Win x64 problem. One person that also has this problem with GW noticed that Win x64 sets the processing priority for Guild Wars to low constantly even when I change it, which it shouldn't be. I went check to see if this was true and sure enough it was.

I started the game, went to Task Manager to check the program processing priority for Guild Wars and it is set to Low. I changed the priority level to Normal and closed Task Manager and went back into the game. The game still performed badly so I went back to Task Manager again and sure enough Windows set the priority level back down to Low.

Just to make sure, I installed Guild Wars on another computer that had Windows 2000 and it worked fine and the processing priority was automatically set to Normal. The Windows x64 priority program is the culprit here. Dangit!

Does anyone know how to make/tell Windows x64 not set low processing priority for Guild Wars? I am pretty sure it's not a graphic card driver problem because I got the latest driver for my card and all my other games work fine just not Guild Wars

What are your computer specifications? I noticed that GW sets the priority to low on my old computer but not on my new one (which is faster). This may have something to do with your computer.
