I've neither said nor implied that. Personally, I don't like nor desire the bleeding edge of technology, but there are people who do and making suggestions for products available now makes sense for those people who do wish to go that route. It's a matter of making sure the questioner is aware that product xyz is available now if he really doesn't want to wait for others to hit the market.
