2 users side by side-microphone recommendations
Alright, this question is more of a "I'm in need of some general recommendations" thread than a question.
I'm sure out there somewhere there are people playing that are in the same situation as I am. My boyfriend and I play GW side by side on (obviously) two computers and we have been running voice chat using the same mic for both of us. We would like to have separate mics so that our voices are easily picked up...because right now we have a hard time positioning it just right to make sure those on the other side can hear us.
So, any recommendations on microphone headsets or mic/headphone combinations that have good sound pickup but help block background noise? Basically we'd like to each have our own connection to the voice chat so it's easier for us to talk to players without the other's voice getting picked up all the time on our mic. I figure those mics that are on headbands will be the best since naturally the mic is closer to your mouth and will pickup your voice easily..and hopefully cancel out the other one's voice. Anyway, I've been reading reviews and was just hoping to get the opinion of someone who's already got this setup or is in a similar situation. Thanks in advance!
p.s. Also open to good standalone mic suggestions that will pickup BOTH of our voices on one mic well, from about 3-4ft max away. Also that will not pickup the ambient noise from GW coming from our desktop speakers.
Any advice?
