I haven't been able to sign in at all. In fact, no computer behind my network has been able to connect to even register.

What kind of internet connection are you running off of? If it's not PPPoE DSL, then you should be able to plug straight into the DSL modem... if it's Cable, again the same.
If it's PPPoE, you might be able to if not I'll have to walk you through

P.S. Is this solution working for everyone or is it a unique circumstance?

You will most likely be running off of a cable modem... just take out the ethernet connection from the router to the modem, and replace it with yours. If it's wireless, you'll have to make a hard wire connection straight to the modem. I do NOT recommend running like this (security reasons), but if need be, it will be a temporary solution.

Ok if I disconnect from my router and plug straight into the cable I can run the game. Why? I don't get it I was able to log on and play this morning from my router. I would switch and use the cable straight but other people connect the the net through the router so its not really a fix for me.

Ok this is messed up. I was just able to connect through my router. The only thing I did is when I got in using the cable (direct connetion) I loged out. I switch my connection back to the router. I tried to connected and got the same message. I was about to give up tried to connected one more time and it let me in. Don't know if that is a fix or if they got it fixed on their end.

No it's not discriminating against wireless. In fact wireless has nothing to do with it, that's just your own internal network traffic. What YOUR going to have to do (it seems this is fixing it) is either what I posted earlier, or go to a friends house (or have a friend do it)... log in under your account, then log you off. Wait a bit, and hopefully you'll be fixed. If there is anything else you guys did then let us know. It sounds like you were interrupted from the server, and your accounts still showed the status of on-line ( but your computer and the server knew you weren't), so it didn't know what to do with you.

P.S. Just to stress again, wireless has nothing to do with it. Besides make this fix a little bit harder.

-EDIT-
I had my friend plug her lan cable directly into the cable modem, it's working now. So it seems to be something with the router/settings...
By the way, she HAS wireless but her main PC is connected by a lan cable. (Her other PC and laptop use wireless)
-EDIT END-
My friend is having the same problem.. Well, when she tries to create an account, or log into mine she gets the Error 5 message.
