Recently the graphical lag I have had in GW drove me nuts to the point I decided to investigate what was going on. I dont have a powerhouse video card but it should be PLENTY to play GW with more than 14 FPS, I have a Radeon x800GTO, but I have had to deal with that.

I have been quite lazy and have not updated my driver in around 6 months. I did so and boy was I happy. I logged in and was happy to see 50-100 FPS, and at no point did my FPS drop below 35 even in dist1 of Kamadan with my graphics almost at max.

Then I went to bed. I woke up, came home and later that night hopped onto GW again and to my horror: 12 FPS.

I began investigating what was going on and could find nothing. I resorted to a "what the hell" move and re-ran the exe to update my driver. Logged in and had my wonderful 50-100 FPS back and enjoyed a few hours of no lag nightfall.

Went to bed, repeat the above paragraphs.

I do not know what is happening but it seems that to get good FPS I have to reinstall my driver before I play GW, else I am back to awful FPS. I have never heard of this, I have not read about this, I am usually the go-to guy for anything related to computers, but I am at a loss as to what is happening. Has anyone had something like this happen, and if so are there and solutions?

What Windows and which ATI driver version are you using?
