ATI 9800 Pro problem
I downloaded the newest drivers from ATI last night. I uninstalled the drivers that I had and installed the drivers I had just downloaded. Windows required a reboot, which I did. Then after I had the preferences set where I want them (refresh rate, resolution) .. I then ran guild wars and Guild Wars ran just fine.
I shut down .. and went to bed. Today I booted up the computer, and ran guild wars, now it says: ================== Unable to initialize 3D output. Please verify that you have installed DirectX 8 and an updated video driver. Click the URL below to open a web page with more information. ================ I thought ok maybe the directx got messed up when i updated the video drivers. So i went to microsoft and updated direct x .. that installed just fine. still no go. has anyone else seen this problem? any ideas of how to fix this? |

Try the catalyst uninstaller, then install the latest video drivers once more.

I didn't notice your response. But a little while ago I used that add/remove programs utility in windows to uninstall the catalyst drivers and (after reboot) i reinstalled the drivers, everything works ok now.
