I was playing GW on the 13th, in the middle of a deep run when i was booted from the game, i was able to get right back on only to be booted again, and this time unable to get on. I tried soooo many different things to no avail. I couldnt change my password and when i tried it took me to some NCsoft link.Apperently someone has linked my account to an NCsoft account. I did not sell my account and I did not give my account away. This account is less than 1000 fame from rank 10, has around 700k, over 1000 ectos, FoW armor not to mention a ton of high end items on its various toons. How can someone just take my account attach it something else and anet doesnt do a thing about it. I mean shouldnt they at least have some verification sent to me, the one and only existing email that this account has ever had. Take a look at the attached copy of my correspondence with anet. I will try anything and appreciate any and all suggestions
That's such bullshit Jason. I can feel your frustation as it took them 3-4 days to unban my account after they accidentally perma-banned it. It was like pulling teeth trying to get a solid response from them and I got nothing but runarounds trying to get my problem solved. At least they finally fixed it, but in your case this is just getting pathetic. 2-3 days without a response, they can at least keep you updated as the case progresses.

Your problem should have raise 1,000 red flags but yet they treat it as a potty mouth report or something. I agree with Incarnatum, it is complete and utter bullshit. They should have a freaking 800 you can call for things like this. Doing it by email stalls it so much further and there is no excuse for it to take them 3 DAYS to get back to you.
The fact this #$%&@#$ came on the account, while you were on your 2nd account, was on was like rubbing your nose in it. The fact that he was able to link your account to ncsoft and use another name so you couldn't do a "forgot password" and get it back is just wrong on ncsofts part. I hate the fact that we have to link it all with them at all. I hate the fact that we have to go through them just to change our freaking password. We should be able to change our password without all the bullshit that they put us through. Ncsoft are the ones who made it possible for your account to be hacked. They owe you big time.
It just makes me sick, thinking about all that you lost. All the work that was put in to it. And I know, even if they get it back, all your stuff will be gone.

Sorry to hear about that but you said you brough two extra character slots which means you must of linked your account to your own PlayNC account to use the store.
I thought you could only link to one PlayNC account and that it was a permanent link?
Yeah other people have been having problems with this too. Idk if ill be using anymore NCsoft products after GW and will be urging others not to do the same.
The only kind of response about this ive ever truly heard from NCsoft is something like "inorder to get into your account they need your e-mail and password and to get those you give it our or they keylog it" there should be safeguards against this like if you get logged off you can quicky change passwords and atleast delay them from screwing you over..
Sounds like you're another victim in the sea of lost souls that were torn apart by NCSoft's horribly lax security. In other words, my guess is that your PlayNC account got brute forced, and you are now, for all intents and purposes, screwed.
Keep hoping for a response from Support. You're going to need your serial key(s) handy and all information you entered at sign-up ready for them too. You'll probably get your account back, but it's a sure-fire bet that everything that isn't nailed down will be gone by the time you do.
I bought the 2 add on slots in a store and the pathetic thing is that I have already sent them my key codes. Seriously plz read the attached file, its my correspondence with Anet and you will see how truly pathetic a job they are doing on this, i made a fille and took out my key codes and real name, but left the rest verbatim.
two... addons from a store? The only way i know how to do that is Via the Nightfall PRBP but that too was only one slot and an account could only have one attached.
same thing happened to me on saturday, i had fow ecto's money some nice weapons e.g tormented stuff, i logged bak on to see it all gone and my fow armour salvaged,
A-Net and PLaync need to shake up, they still have done nothing to retrieve my plaync account so i can finnaly secure my guild wars account, poor customer support, basically u tell them what is going on, they will redirect you to some crap that aint even to do with your problem
you tell them everything they want to know, they say ok we will keep in touch and reply asap, 2 days later no reply A-Net and plaync need to get a grip

This SICKENS ME. I can only begin to imagine how long it must've taken you to collect all that, not to mention MONEY SPENT! If you have all three Collector's Editions that's over 200 Euros spent! A lot of people have seperate regular edition CDs with those CEs as well, sometimes topping 250 Euros. A-Net, these are PAYING CUSTOMERS, and most have paid a lot. Please take it into account.

It's not anet as much as it is freaking ncsoft. They have the worst ever customer service. The whole idea of someone taking your account and linking it to another email is beyond me. Why wasn't he notified that this was going on? And now, he's lost everything and there is no way that he will ever get it back.
i mean is it that hard to ask u security questions about ur account, i understand they need to make these checks but it shouldnt take this long, aks security questions make sure it is you, then give account info that was changed?
im lucky to have friends online to help me out till i get my password changed and to make sure it doesnt hapen again,
i feel like A-NET have done nothing but slow down the progress of actually achiving something and getting our account secure and safe, same with Plaync

WOW I knew NCsoft sucked at the reports i sent but i guessed thats because they were low on the priority list but i guess NCsoft just treats everyone like crap
Also an option to ban our account would be nice so they can't even get to character screen
As you sound PvP hopefully most of the titles you have made are account based but i doubt your 700k will be

I did finally get my acct back 12 days later and at that point it was banned, wtf they ban the acct after they are giving it back instead of when I advised them of the issues.Needless to say it was completely raped.

I still dont see why any items on accts that my stuff was transfered to can't be returned or why everything in the inventories and on the toons of the accts that they "implied" were dealt with appropriately (ya right!) cant be returned or given to me.
dude i so feel what your going through ive been trying to get some help from them for a month now.and all ive ever gotten were auto response crap.ive posted before about this very same type of thing and have gotten my grammar corrected for my trouble.this is bomplete bs and if i had known before all the time spent and money wasted on this game to be done the way you and i have been done by customer support i would have purchased something else.they obviously dont care about the customers once they get the $50 for the game and per expansion.oh btw they sent me a 7th message today on my situation telling me they have sent it to the senior support guys again.this is the 3rd one like this i have gotten from them.and the funny part is they asked me to complete a survey to let them know how they can better serve me in the future.it was a very simple 7 question survey which i was able to give a resounding disatisfied answer to every one.they even asked in if there was a particular team member i would like recognised for thier help.lol yea the computer programmer who wrote the auto response program was a big help,also all the little people that made this complete sham possible
