Well, like others here I thought things were getting better yesterday.
Today I am back to 20,000ms pings.
Out of interest, someone on another lag thread here mentioned they were on Virgin Media 20 meg cable. That is what I use too.
I don't think it is anything to do with my connection though, as everything else is flying at its usual speed.

Yeah it's a very big lag, maybe because of the servers in Frankfurt, Germany.
Yesterday my lag started en today it even got worse. It's like I'm doing the "moonwalk" but forwards
I hope this problem is fixed before the weekend, otherwise ANet, needs to do this special weekend, next weeknd aswell
BTW I play EU and Int dis, both same

UK, Virgin broadband,
This problem did not start at the Dragon Festival, I was experiencing the lag during the AB weekend and people were complaining then that they had problems weeks before that.
Tonight 21:56 BST is impossible. Alliance members in Sweden, Germany, Poland, Holland, Italy and the UK are all having major issues: - logging in is terrible, 5 mins to get into GH, once in playing is a joke. It has taken me 20 mins to get to the first jungle troll in Aurora Glade, usually a 1 minute run even after taking out the spiders. I find that my hench have killed all local targets before my first skill has finished being cast!! What's that all about??
No reply from Anet regards my -diag sent in on Sunday, not even a bot reply! Come on guys a reply in four days isn't much to ask.

Major Lag in Ireland too, I just bought the game. I mean I JUST BOUGHT THE GAME!!!!
Got two evenings out of it and now its unplayabe. I mean I've spent more time trying to figure out if its my computer and checking the net support sites then I have playing the game. Its driving me crazy!!!!
Not only that there was a bug with the assassin career track so I couldn't even spend my time playing through to actually get into the big bad world.
Anyway someone please get this sorted, I paid the company money for this product and I expect to be able to use it.

Euro districts utterly unplayable (like 30,000ms ping). Can no longer go into international district (which has been my refuge for the past 2 weeks because of this), because I always get kicked to the character select screen with Error 007.

and still prefer gw with lag then WOW or other crap blizzard game (except Diablo2) without it. (yep i have WoW too and i consider it a good game compared with solitaire from windows)

Funny how you mentioned storage because your part right. I played GW at launch, I played GW at launch of Factions. I put the game down about 1 month after factions and just picked it back up 1 month ago. I have seen what its likes to get pings in 30's, I have seen what its like to get pings in 500's and in 1,000s. I dont have any expeience with the 10,000 mark like most have, but I am normaly in the 1,000s. I spend 5 minutes repeating same run over again becuase my char doesnt update posistions and I get ported back to the last spot I was at before the char does update. Its frustrating, but I am dealing with it. I am getting DC at times, and it is rediculous.
My point was that we cant expect them to have the performance amongst thier networks like Blizzard and SOE. So when people say thier dump GW for WoW, it perturbs me a bit. Anet already stated that the error was outside of their control and it was on the network that they are using. If they were Blizz or SOE, they could shoot as much money as needed to the people with the problem and poof, all fixed, but they cant because they give us somethign that is rare in the MMO business, and thats a Massive game with great, updated content, good tech support, community involment, that is ultimatly free once you put down the money to buy the game.
Maybe I'm not as seasoned as some others around here, but I have been through good times and bad with this game, and I am never going to call Anet and GW crap just because of some network problems. They have done good for a long time, so why complain just now?

Ridiculous
UK, BT Broadband
Unplayable yesterday evening - 5 minutes to log in - could not re-zone or actually make my character move. The message on the official GW site has not been updated for 2 weeks - very very poor customer service! I'm not impressed!

Was fine an hour ago, now suddenly lagging again.
This has been going on for weeks, with guildies in the UK, The Netherlands and Germany getting lag IN TURNS. I cannot express my disappointment with the service here. We can hardly play any game with more than 2 guildies at a time. The lag is ALL OVER Europe Anet. FIX THIS FINALLY
This is the 3rd weekend in a row that lag suddenly comes and makes the game simply unplayable for me.

I can't even log on now. What does this mystical company in frankfurt get payed for? It's obviously not for keeping their servers RUNNING PROPERLY!
Guild Wars, meet the bin. I'm done.

Same here, this is happening too often now! And it's always when they do a event at the weekend.
Here's what they should do..................don't do events at the weekend until they've solved the problem
