I was doing HA last night (American Servers) and my ENTIRE team lagged out. We got frustrated and quit. I did a little PvE afterward and still had terrible lag...to the point that I quit and called it a night.

Was doing a lot of AB last night and again this afternoon. The lag is unbelievable. One minute i'm happily killing everyone around me and the next a ten second pause and i'm dead. Or a fight breaks out nearby and by the time i come out of a lag spike my team is dead and i've got 3 assassins trying to gank me.
I understand it's not under anets direct control but this is way, way, WAY beyond a joke now.
Not a happy bunny

What if I buy something from the online shop? Will someone then get their finger out? Or is everyone too busy working on GW:EN, GW2 and other money making excursions?

Lagging again, after being fine for a week. Game is unplayable. This HAS to be fixed permanently!
I suspect Anet has cut costs on their servers, thinking they can get by with less bandwidth as the game population thins. gg, really.

Well im handing in my guildwars tags (so to speak) not because of the lag spikes, but because they decide to have such a big event like the dragon festival even after they have acknowledged that theres a server problem. That imo is the single biggest bad move anet have made. gaile openly admitted that there seems to be a problem and yet they still do an event like the dragon festival.

We're aware of an issue in Europe that seems, for the most part, to be affecting players in Germany and Holland. (And I imagine that could include players in the US who are playing in the EU districts, too, although that part is speculation on my part.)
The issue report emails have been passing my desk all day, and I know multiple people are a couple of teams are working to figure out the problem and resolve it.
We're very sorry for this inconvenience!
|
So im gonna miss out on the event since i cant play without having my ping in excess of 1500.
I will definitly not be buying GWEN or GW2 now. time to find another mmorpg to play.

Please STOP the pointless whining and threatening.
The last thing we want is for ArenaNet to read this thread and think: "Vocal minority, let them whine all they want."
They've said it before, it's not their fault, it's not their servers which they privately own, only a routing issue in an internet hub in Franfurt connecting to their data center.

What we NEED is official word from ArenaNet concerning:
a) The situation in Frankfurt.
b) An ETA on when normal server activity will resume. Are we talking hours, days, weeks or worse?
Please, don't leave us in the dark.

Which we aren't getting. Which is the main reason I'm pissed off. The fact they just let us in the dark sucks as much as the fact a game I paid for hasn't been playable for a week(!).
No more Anet games for me, GG.

Another evening of unspeakable lag. Getting 250 victory tokens for the mask is going to be hell this way.
EDIT: I guess today being a festival event isn't helping. Average ping of 7,439 right now. It took me minutes just to buy some tickets and park my ass on a ring. It's a good thing they have these afk games, because that's all I can do today.

Just spent 2 days away rebuilding my pc and now the game is unplayable.
They should not have any more event weekends until this is sorted.

I agree with Lagg so we can have an idea on what is happening with the situation, even if it is out of their hands they could keep us updated.
For most of us the Dragon Festival is an enjoyable One but has we all know lag spoils the fun...so ANET has a suggestion...why not extend this Festival for another week or a weekend Once the problem is sorted.
Players can still have fun on the days they have missed due to this lag and gain their lucky title .

From Belgium here, and the lag has only been observated from wednesday the 4th. My gf who is on the same ISP as me got the same lags and it's not playable at all. I asked at Kamadan for other people on the same ISP as me (skynet) and they were all having huge lags, though on other games I dont have lag at all and the net itself is as quick as usual.
Biggest latency observed was over 21k. I know some of you guys are having this for days now, but with 2 days of this I'm already pissed off and the frustration is greater since I had 2 days off and wanted to play gw like mad.
Fix it, I beg you.
(not talking of the event, which will be running without me for sure, tried the dragon arena once and couldn't even move nor talk)

So far no error 7 on the ID and I just got home after a few hours. So I'm sticking there. I don't mind orange, as long as it doesn't turn red

First, calm down, seriously.
I'm on your side, okay? I'm just a guy like you.
I also want to play the game. I'm also angry.
There's no need to vent your frustration at me.
Then, you can do three things:
a) Whine some more and ultimately just wait for things to get solved in due time.
b) Roll around on the floor, windmilling your arms screaming "I HATE ANET!!!", uninstall Guild Wars and never come back.
c) Submit the diagnostic report and make your voice heard directly where it counts.
Also, we need to make a clear distinction between isolated cases who have been having lag for months and pretty much everyone in parts of Europe having lag issues.
It is unfortunately unlikely that things will magically get better if you've always had lag issues.
It is, however, very likely that you can help by submitting the diagnostic report if you've just started experiencing problems in the past few days.
