It all got worse for me. A LOT WORSE.
I had lags between 1000ms-5000ms some days ago until yesterday.
But now they are between 90 and 120 SECONDS.

The game is totally unplayable at the moment.
Massive lag spikes and crazy ping times.
Possibly the worst I have ever seen it.

Gah, this is super frustrating for me, because I moved house over the weekend, and last Thursday was the last time I played GW in my old house (performance was good as ever)
Now I've set up everything in my new house, my ping has been (red engineing) appalling ever since Sunday when I started playing again.
Up until reading this forum I had put it down to the change in environment. Now I'm not so sure >_<.
Edit: Forget to mention I'm in England
Edit2: Ok, just tested international district-1 (the only non-euro district I get it seems) It's giving me a consistent 300-400ms, with occasionally <250ms, which isn't great but is a ton better than the 5,000ms spikes I am getting every ten seconds on the english servers.
Shame the only people I am likely to meet in international-1 are bots and ebay customers collecting their hard earned gold

Hm, never had any issues, untill today...
Max lag of 3.700 ms and even some maps wouldn't load (sometimes it all hangs on 'Connecting', while other times it gets stuck at 100% ). Didn't had that problem before.

Uploadspeed: 1 Mbit

Five days later and as with a lot of people I'm still having really bad lag. Missions are unplayable for the most part, but it does seem better late in the evening (11pm gmt). Had one ping that was 21 000 that is insane, generaly pings range from 71 - 3000, not ideal for an online-multiplayer game.
I hope this gets corrected soon.

I've had no lag at all, but when playing at European English servers in Presearing I often heard complaints of big lag from my team mate. For some reason, the lag did not affect me at all.
I'm connected via XS4ALL internet, The Netherlands.

Whew, finally I've read all posts.
My friend had some bad lag last week, and when his was mostly over, mine started yesterday. Both dutch. More friends allso had bad lag but they said they fixed it by adding 3 DNS-adresses in their network device. He gave me the 3 DNS-adresses: ns1.servermatrix.com, nic.arpa.org and vnsc-pri.sys.gtei.net, he said it fixed most of his lag by using those, and one of his friends didn't notice much difference.
Well hes not very skilled with windows so I'm asking here, has anyone else heard about those 3 adresses, can anyone confirm the story?

This seems to be a very unlikely way to fix it to me.
DNS (Domain Name Servers) translate domain names to IP addresses. When you type www.google.co.uk into your browser and hit send, a query goes off to the DNS server which translates the name into an IP address, in this case 64.233.183.103. Your connection is then established to the IP address.
When you are playing Guild Wars, there should not be any DNS translation involved, as the game client connects directly to the IP address of the server.
Anyway, I really hope this is fixed by the weekend. Roller Beetle racing with massive pings and lag spikes will be no fun at all.

Yeah that was what I was thinking aswell, but he said it fixed his lag so I thought I'll better ask if someone had heard of this aswell...
The adresses seem to belong to webhosts :S

I also still have a bad lag all the time since last week when the fraction bonus started.
Sometimes GW freezing over 10 seconds and i find my party dead after it.
My internet works fine so that is not the source.
Location: Holland
Hope it´s fixed soon

Still got it in Euro districts but not in International. Slow loading, red PING, jumpy lag.
Any news on a resolution?

This is unacceptable, for six days now i have had massive lag spikes and huge pings upto 22,000.
Constantly freezing and delays using skills and loading areas, this is not what i consider a quality service.
What the hell is going on, Anet must have some idea, even if it is outside thier control, they surely must have the reason for it.
FFS sort it out.

Lag and more Lag
I've noticed that the lag is very very bad during the day (I'm based in London UK) but in the evening everything returns to normal. It seems that something is eating up all the bandwidth during the day hence the lag... I hope this is resolved soon?

For me it's the other way round, ok during the day but starting from 6 in the evening it gets nearly unplayable (Germany here)

It's so bad I'm unable to play. I'm in Northern Ireland.
Wonder if Fury will have these problems...I hope not.
