It's been happening to me too. Two lagouts during one run in halls, but good thing the other team had a few lagouts too.

The thing for me is, I've recently just changed my Television provider to Verizon FiOS. I've always had FiOS for internet (And still do) but the change to the Television provider caused me to get a new router. I figured that was the problem (Since it happened right around the time of the maintenance) But now seeing all of the problem everyone is having it makes me feel better (Almost) that it's not a router problem. But it really pisses me off, especially because of the Double Fame week. I can disconnect while in HA ready to go with a group. Even now I just died running to farm some IDS.
I live in Boston, MA. And again I'm on Verizon FiOS.

I agree with BohemianKeith that we should all give our locations if we can. You don't have to be specific if you don't want to, but just say north/southeast coast, midwestern or west coast if you're in the US. If you're in Canada, or Europe, just say that. But if Arena Net sees this, they'll know where the problems lie.
Thanks

Have been having the exact same problems as you chaps, though perhaps not as frequent. I get my usual spikes where I disconnect a couple times in a span of ten minutes, and hell, last night in ToA I got disconnected three times just looking for a team. Oddly enough, however, when America finally gained favor (as late as it was) my connection issues seemed to halt, as I was in a dual UW run for an hour or so.
I also live in the west, Alberta Canada.

Yes, I get the "exact" same problem; frequent disconnects, error code:007, etc, all after this last update. I am located in New England just like the majority of the people here. Bangor, Maine to be exact. I have Verizon DSL. At first I thought it could have been my internet, but all of my other high end games such as GRAW 2, Stalker, and Battlefield 2142 play flawlessly online.
My specs are pretty high-end as well and exceeds all of the requirements. And to answer one of the previous posts; a clean install did nothing for me. This is all kind of a shame tho, the game has run perfectly for me up until this, I hope NCSoft or ArenaNet can get their act together and patch this issue.

I've been having the same problem.
Thought things might be ok tonight but alas...I turned out to be wrong. 3 disconnects in the last half hour. No lagginess, no problems, then all of a sudden bang...stop moving/"network error" message/reconnect/repeat.

I've been disconnecting all weekend - I'm in Ontario, Canada, with a DSL connection and I know I get routed through NY on the way to the GW servers.
One of my guildies is in Phoenix, Arizona, and he hasn't been disconnecting at all, although he did lag at the same time as me once or twice. For the most part though it's not lag, just disconnects. He has cable and is routed through completely different servers.
My internet is fine though as I was chatting with him on TS the whole time.

I'm getting alot of Err= 007s and Err=058s. It disconnects at least once an hour, but sometimes it gets even worse. I only lose connection with Guild Wars, so its not my internet.
I am close to the NYC area.

Wow! I'm sorry that it's more than me having this problem, but glad to know I'm not alone.
But I wanted to answer a question posed by Osiris. My GW .dat file was recently corrupted to the point that I had to reinstall the game, so I did. It worked fine after that for several weeks until the server maintenance situation. So, I'm hoping Arena Net can do something to help us.

Has anyone checked to see if ArenaNet/NCSoft has released any official statements on this disconnecting issue?

I'm in upstate New York as well (Rochester, specifically), and the only disconnections or lag I've had recently have been in Alliance Battles, but those are pretty shoddy servers for everyone it seems.

*raises hand*
Really bad problems with lag and disconnects here (during regular PvE - GH, outposts and maps) too for both my partner and I. We're in the northwest of England but play on the US servers.
I've just been err7-ed 4 times in the last 15 minutes. It's been like this to varying extents for the last 4 days or so.
My average ping at the moment is 1,700.
EDIT: All other internet progs are fine - other MMOs, TS, GTalk etc.

Yep me too, every 10-15 mins, when I used to be able to play for several hours without a single disconnect.
I'm in eastern Nebraska here, still having the same troubles as everyone else here

same problems here
altho im pretty sure its not Anet's fault
if u all run -diag and see where u get timeouts im pretty sure u will get the same as me

in other words , full packetloss on SanJose route
this is the same route that was faulty a few months ago when Anet was blamed for alot of lag
if i remember correctly they had contacted the provider wich only responded with that their amount of packet loss was within specs :s
Location, Sweden, on 100mbit ethernet connection, but i think we all know its not OUR connections causing this

So everyone encounter the same error7, disconnecting problem ever since they scheduled internet maintenance eh?
I wonder "What kind of Odd internet maintenance were Anet doing?"
I remember having gold drops and Anet decide to throw in Error7 or disconnect on me....
Does anyone report this to Anet? My guildie did, and they said Anet aren't doing anything nor even attempt to seriously reply them. I know Anet offer us free online play, but we buy this game under the "free nice online play deal" and its that's one of their game selling point too! If this serious error7, lagging in AB, high frequency disconnect continue, I bet more or more ppl will quit buying their next expansion.
By the way, I'm in Toronto Canada, I'm using DSL. My connection are perfect. Anet really have to fix this issue!
