Default Battle Framerate

In the first one, two, or three fights after leaving a town, the framerate goes incredibly slow and the sound loops... I have no idea what this is, after those fights the game goes completely fine, no problems at all, any idea what this is?

Technical specs on your PC might help. It will allow people to rule out some potential causes for that problem.

That happens to me sometimes too. Earlier today it even froze the game and my pc for me. I couldn't end the program from task manager or anything. I had to press the power button on my pc.

As for specs, I'm not a techie so not sure what specifics needed:
-HP Pavillion a744x
-intel (R) 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family
-Windows XP

Not exactly sure what other info needed.

Shai, you're using an onboard graphic card and I guess since it's a HP PC the sound is onboard as well. Try lower the graphic setting and sound setting for a better performance. Anet has put more fancy graphice stuff in EotN, so you might encounter some slow down if your PC is not up to it.

I can't say the same thing for the OP, since there's no info on his pc.

Etta's right about your problem Shai. GW:EN had and still has some issues with intel chipsets as well as enhanced graphics which are likely to tax your intel chipset.

No, your PC should be fine. Also note that most issues with intel chipsets either have been fixed or are being fixed by anet since they support the recent versions of those chipsets.
