I haven't played GW in a couple days, granted, but I appear to have a problem.

You know when you start the program, it goes to the main screen where you log in? Well, my screen hasn't been displaying the little announcements panel.

What that normally means is that there's some routing issue. Fair enough. It says "Connecting" for a bit then it will eventually give me a Code=058. Ok, happens sometimes.

But it's been doing this for maybe 2 days, maybe 3 now. it just sits there, no loading, nothing, finally after 15 min of "connecting" i get error58. Yeah. Lame.

My internet is perfect. I go to an excellent college, our connection is topnotch, T2 I believe, or something powerful like that.

Every other application related to the internet works perfectly. I've restarted my computer, blah blah, even played a bit of starcraft and linked to bnet to see if it was a firewall or something. Nothing.

Any thoughts? Help? I'd appreciate any feedback. :S

try fully shutting off your firewall and start the game

Noticed that you said you are connecting from school. Have you talked to the college tech department (or whatever they call themselves) about the issue? It's possible that a port related to GW may have been blocked recently, and you might have to get it reopened.

I ended up uninstalling the whole thing and reinstalling. It works now

Go figure.
