Help running a memory check
My computer reset today while playing Guild wars and ever since that it's been buggy. It tried to repair the data achieve which didn't do anything, then I deleted the GW file that has all the info (cant rembmer the extension, .bat or .dat) which didn't do anything. So now I have reinstalled it, and it keeps saying there is a hardware issue. When I try play it it randomly crashes with a c000005 error or something, and now it keeps going to a blue screen which says something about a hardware error.
I want to run a memory test so I downloaded the install but it says I need a floppy disk to use it? I don't have one and can't get one so is there another way to do it? Thanks heeps.

im nut sure but you may be able to use it with a cd, the way it works with a floppy (which i have used) is you put it on the floppy, put floppy in, reboot and it boots to the floppy.
if you have more then one stick of ram, try taking one out at a time and seeing if it boots

Ok, this is how you do it. Download Memtest from this website.
http://www.memtest86.com/ (go to free download, then d/l the mountable ISO zip file).
Then, you want to download a mounting program. I recommend Alcohol 120%
http://www.alcohol-soft.com/ .
Then, after installing A120, mount the ISO onto a disc (very easy, it walks you through it) and then reboot with the disc in the drive. The computer will boot off of the disc and start running mem checks. To be safe, I recommend letting it run 2 times (which should take about. 1-2 hours depending on a few different factors). Hope everything works out fine.
