Default Playing Guild Wars with a Compaq v3619?

Hey, I'm thinking about getting a laptop to play GW when I'm not at home and judging from its specs, this Compaq Presario v3619 seems to be a nice choice. It has a 2.2 Ghz processor, 1 Gb RAM and a GeForce Go 7150 video card. Should it be able to run the game? I just want to run it on medium-low settings with a decent framerate. Thanks in advance.

Yes, it should run the game on medium settings reasonably well. If it's Vista you may want to bump the RAM up to 2 gigs if you can.

Another thing to check is the speed of the hard drive. I got my laptop and failed to check the hdd rating - it was only a 5400rpm and the load times are noticeably longer...

I would also highly recommend you check if the video card has its own video memory or shares w/ the main system ram. If it has its own ram, then you can probably make due w/ only 1gb of ram (just be sure they don't short-change you by giving you 2 512 ram chips instead of 1 1gb one)

The 7150 is an integrated card i'm pretty sure of it. If the laptop comes with windows xp (unlikely), 1GB is a bit low but enough to play if there aren't too many other tasks running in the background. If it comes with vista, then upgrade to 2 GB especially with an integrated chipset.

it'll be fine, im running a geforce2 MX 200 card, 5400 rpm hdd, 1 gb of ram, and it runs (not fast, but it runs) =, and your card is much better than mine.
