New Laptop
Hi
As the title says I'm currently looking for a new laptop. What i'm looking for is something that will be able to play most games decently (that excludes Crysis of course...).
Here are 2 models that caught my attention so far.
http://www.msi-computer.ca/notebook/...products_id=58
http://ca.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=...&m odelmenu=2
First, what do you think about those and second if you have laptops with similar specs in mind i would like to know.
Two more things: I'm looking for a 15.4" notebook, don't bother with the 17" or larger and as for the price, let me worry about that don't count it as a factor in your recommendations.

I stumbled upon that one recently too:

any opinions?
EDIT: I'd also like comments on the GeForce 9500M GS if possible.

If cash isn't a factor get the Alienware - you will even be able to play Crysis and they are a far more reputable company (for gaming laptops) than the other options imo.

I like the specs the alienware has to offer, but the reviews I've read on it so far point to a few issues so I'm no longer sure about that one. As for gaming laptop the problem is: 15.4" and gaming laptop. Since I'll use it regularly for university I'll be carrying it around often so 17" are kinda out of the question and portability is a decisive factor as well.

Just a thought about the 17" vs 15.4"
I carried a 17" across the world and back with allot of traveling in between for 1.5 yrs and it's not that bad. The extra 2lbs shouldn't be noticed if you aren't a total wimp. lol Anyways, for gaming, or any graphics editing, be it work or play, the 17" is FAR better and I believe totally worth it.
just my thoughts on it

Thanks everyone for the answers so far, there's one thing that i forgot to mention in my first post. I'm in Canada, so the laptops have to be available in Canada.
EDIT: i will look into 17" laptops as well and as for clevo notebooks, does anyone know if there are any suppliers in Quebec
2EDIT: any good places to buy a sager notebook?
nvm the sager, the one i was looking at seems to be built on the clevo M860TU

Just about any laptop available in the U.S. is available in Canada.
Rather than specific models, I'd just recommend that you get one with a separate graphics chip/card and dedicated RAM (as opposed to only shared RAM). Stay away from any with Intel integrated graphics.
Other than that, get one from a reputable brand that has the specs, price, and looks you like. Don't go overboard searching for the "best deal" because the "best deal" changes every freakin' hour.
This would be the sort of thing I mean:
