so i wanna get a note book under 1k and it dependable for playing gw. the thing im wondering is what if gw2 comes out and i cant play it no more. i only want notebook because it easy to carry around since im always moving from place to place. and gw is myfavorit game that keeps on changing unlike a game u can finish and be done with.

Basically, if you get a laptop with a separate graphics chip (not integrated graphics) with it's own discrete graphics RAM, you will have no problem running GW. From what they've said, you should also have no problem running GW2 - but, perhaps at lower graphics settings.

what does it mean when a game have their recommended settings. does those make the game run good. or low end settings?

Recommended setting are just the game's predetermined setting based on your system's performance so you have the best visual experience while having the best performance too.

Low end setting will usually have the game run faster but the game will obviously look visually poor.

If you can run the game at max while having "capped" frames then the settings usually won't matter. For example, I run at all high settings but the frames are capped by my monitor's refresh rate using Vsync. I get 75fps at the highest settings and the same fps at the lowest settings.

If you have 2GB of ram and a dedicated graphics card you should be just with any new laptop on the market .... for GW and GW2.

oh when i was asking about the recommended setting. i was talking about the lable on the box of the game. any ideas?

^^^ generally that is what you need to run the game at a stable and "enjoyable rate" it varies from game to game, but don't expect 200fps at reccomended settings every time
