Default Still looking for a new laptop

Hi. my last thread really didn't get any useful replies, so ill be more specific this time. I need a laptop for school and wont be able to bring my desktop so I will need to be able to run games on my laptop.

1. If the games with the highest settings i will be paying are Quake 4, Bioshock and HL2 (these honestly don't even need to be on max settings, im not picky) will I need a dedicated graphics card?

2. what sort of processor speed is decent? im really out of the loop on this one...

3. WHERE (websites) can i look for laptops?

thanks

EDIT:
how do these two look?

a. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834152073

b. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834210015

I really like alienware notebooks, just take a look at their homepage:
http://alienware.com/
http://www.alienware.com/products/no...computers.aspx <-- notebooks (just select on of the basic notebooks and build it how you like)

Negative: The notebooks are pretty expensive in comparison to other notebooks, but if you are looking for a cool style it maybe worth the money.

Yes you will need a dedicated graphics card.

For a Core 2 Duo processor 2.5Ghz or above would be very decent (for laptops).

Newegg.

Now I get to ask some questions.

1. Which country are you located in? America?

2. What is your budget?

3. What screen size do you want? 15.4inch?

Just looking at the specs and price this laptop appears to be a good deal. But since you did not post a budget it could be too expensive. The most important thing in gaming laptops is the graphics card - all laptops (well most) have a fast Core 2 Duo processor and enough RAM, but not many have a good graphics card. Keep in mind the memory on the graphics card is not as important as the number of shader processors, clock speeds and memory bus width and type.

1. america
2. under 1000$
3. doesnt matter at all on a laptop. that just determines how close you put it on your lap/table.

I'm reluctant to answer the price range, last time i did that people jsut told be i probably wouldn't find something in my price range with the capabilities i want. this is annoying because:
a. they are wrong. you can run games on mid settings on a much less capable systems than max settings.
b. I need places to buy laptops, online retailers. I know there are tons of them, I just need a few links to sites that offer decent prices.

Try looking through here.

EDIT: I would go with the MSI one you linked in the first post. Better graphics and it's cheaper.

The MSI GX630 got a good review in the latest PCGamer. Their biggest grief seemed to be the limited rez (1280x800).

FYI - you can play Quake 4 with a HD2400 at high (not ultra) settings and avg. nearly 40 fps @ 1400x900 resolution. That is one of the best integrated graphics chips out there now though. To play Bioshock I would suspect you would need a dedicated chipset.
You ought to be able to find something at www.tigerdirect.com or at www.newegg.com.

However, if Rahja is offering you a link to some insider loot then go for it, he'll get you a good deal.
