Default My New Setup

Hey everyone!

This is my first time building my own computer. Now I am pretty sure this is a very nice computer, and everything fits on the MotherBoard and all, but I was just looking for some info before i purchase these parts.

1. Will this work and not explode or anything? :P
2. Can i get better results for the same price (around 780 euros)
3. Will this run GW (and im pretty sure it will :P)

AMD Phenom II X3 710 (CPU)
Antec Three Hundred Zwart (Case)
Asus EAH4870/HTDI/1GD5 (Video Card)
Asus M4A785D-M PRO (MoBo)
Cooler Master Hyper TX3 (Fan)
Corsair HX450W (Power Supply
Kingston ValueRAM KVR800D2N5K2/4G (RAM)
LG W2261V-PF (Screen)
Logitech Cordless Desktop EX 110 (Keyboard n Mouse)
Logitech X-540 (Sound System)
Samsung SH-S223B (Optical Drive)
Samsung Spinpoint F1 DT HD642JJ, 640GB (Hard Drive)
Sweex CR005V2 internal card reader all-in-1 USB 2.0 black (Card Reader)

If anyone could take a look at this setup and see if it's good, then i'm happy. What i want to be able to do is play fairly new games on a fairly high quality, but I don't need for example Crysis on highest.

ty in advance

The only problem I can see off hand, is that your power supply is too small. The recommended power supply for a system using an HD4870 is 500watts. You might be able to get away with only 450watts, but it would be better to just get something a bit larger, in the 500-650watt range.

What size monitor and resolution will you game at? the 4870 is still a very good card, but if you want to game at high resolutions you may find it struggling abit with new games at max settings at least.

Also, I'd suggest getting a slightly more powerful PSU - I believe that the 4870 requires (supposedly) a 500watt PSU, and in any case, having some wiggle room for future expansion is a good idea. Personally I'd say a 600 watt PSU is a good size to shoot for when building a new Gaming Computer, most systems these days won't need that much, but it's the future that must be considered as well.

that would be compatible, but not the best option on the market, they have a weird configuration with their 12Volt rails and I'd stay away from it personally. What is available in your area?

*I'm assuming you speak Dutch and can understand this site:

****this is a better PSU, but it's pricey too:

No 100 euros is too expensive for me, im looking at a price from 60 to 80 euros, otherise im over my budget. The problem is that I don't know what is compatible with what, so i can't really pick a good one myself :P I will just ask a friend then, or if maybe one of you guys could help me pick one i'd be very happy

I don't see any problems with the Real Power M620.

I read a couple reviews that showed it uses 2 of the 3 +12v rails for the motherboard and then the other +12v rail powers everything else.. Since we're talking just 19amps on that rail, it makes me nervous. I may be overly picky, but I wouldn't buy it myself.

For your budget I'd go with this model, Antec makes great products and it's 69 Euros, which seems like a pretty good value compared to the other prices I've noticed for NL.
