Default Need a little help choosing a Desktop :)

Hey guys just was wondering if i could get a little help my friends computer crapped out on him today and since he has no other means to get onto the internet he's making me find him a computer. :P

Anyways there aren't many requirements for the machine all he really wants/needs is to be able to play GW (ofc) Aion BF2 possibly future games and i know that it may be hard to predict but for the pc to run GW2 would be awesome

Price wise i'd say anywhere from 900-1200 dollars possibly a tad more but not too much

thanks again to anyone who helps and also thanks to the Tech community for helping pick out the laptop i'm currently typing on

ibuypower is a great site as you can customize what you want in the computer and they build it for you, then ship it to you.

A better bang for your buck than a typical Dell/HP prebuilt, but not quite as much as building your own.

I'll second that - also newegg and I believe tigerdirect as well offer some pre-built ibuypower systems, although you may be better off by going to their site and customizing one.

Voltaic - British prices are always way higher than US prices, so it's not a very good point to compare from.... also the NVIDIA 8200 is NOT for gaming of any sort, even Guild Wars.

Did not say it was for gaming.. but does it really matter? He asked for a Desktop that would run those games...... Those games would easily run on that Desktop

wrong, even at lower resolutions and detail settings those games would not run well on 8200 integrated graphics. 2 minutes on google would tell you that, whether you have personal experience with it or not.

Start with this. http://www.ibuypower.com/Store/Confi...s.aspx?mid=524

Throw in an i7 and a 4890, or a GTX 260 (or higher if you want).

they configure it, set it up, and ship it to you.

Or 5850.

ATI's 5000-series of cards is getting rave reviews. Not only that but they're affordable too. I've always bought Nvidia, but ATI has Nvidia by the balls right now. If I was buying today I'd go ATI in a second...

Ibuypower seems to be a pretty good choice I would say customize and buy one of those saves the trouble building
