Default Sound Problem - AudioFX Pro 5+1

I recently picked up a set of AudioFX Pro 5+1 Headphones.

The sound quality is excellent however whenever 'Hardware Acceleration' (Can't remember exactly what it's called) and EAX are enabled and I start moving the sound cuts out and I just here crackles and pops (no snaps).

I have played other games using EAX and have had no problems.

I am wondering if anyone uses these headphones or if you have any ideas on how to fix this problem?

is it when hardware acceleration and EAX are enabled, or just one of them at a time?

i used to get this, and it was caused by an incompatabilty with EAX audio, so i turned it off, and it hasnt happened since.

It happens when I select Hardware Acceleration, I can't even select EAX without the HA selected first.

wat happens when you turn off hardware acceleration? if the sound still works, then i would simply suggest leaving it off.

it sounds like an incompatability with HA, one of my friends had a similar problem with his speakers

Thanks jackers, that's what I've done.

It works fine when it's off, I just like the surround effects.
