Default My PC goes crazy! >.<

Dunno what is happening, but a few day's ago it all started, I started up
GW, and I enjoyed playing for like 15 minutes; but then, BAM! Everything frozes, I feared for the worst; but I sadly was right: my computer crashed and I had to restart everything, now my computer ALWAYS makes a awefull noise (its like the Lich gangbanging with undead Rurik..) when I play GW for a while and it has a 50% chance of crashing each time I start GW up..
But now, for the "fun" part, I started up GW; everything went fine, even for 2 hours! I was like "OMFG praise the lord! Hallaluja!" and then, again; BAM! "noooooes!" I screamed, but now a new thing happened: everything frozes AND some strange shit poped up in my GW playscreen: http://img355.imageshack.us/img355/6594/gw030vk7.jpg, and the strange thing was; I was terribly lagging, but when I minimized GW, It was (nearly) all gone!

Is this the revenge of digits?
Who know's!

Thanks for apreciating my writing skills, but you mean it has been toasted and can
be never be repared again? [/bummer]
Or is there a sprankle of hope for me that I can use a little bit of
Divine Favour/healing prayers to "heal" my video card?

I had the same problem just recently. I did a lot of research and found out the main three causes of this are overheating, weak power supply, or toasted vid card. Since I added another case fan and started monitoring the temp, I figured out that wasn't the issue. I replaced the power supply with a much higher wattage one and the problem seems to be gone.

Good luck in figuring this out! I know how frustrating it can be to suddenly freeze and then to resume with that sort of picture.

You can try a few things before scrapping the card.
Remove the connection from the back of the card (which connects the monitor) and use canned air to remove any dust.
Another thing you can do is take the case off and clean the fans/heatsinks of dust and see if this helps.

Somewhat of the same thing happened to me when I first got my computer.

After running Crysis on very high settings for a few hours my computer started making a terrible noise, and the graphics got screwy. I popped open the case and looked inside, there was layer of plastic covering between my video card and soundcard. And a part of the plastic was in the fan slowing it down - thus making the noise, and overheating which led to the graphics problems.

Donno, thats just me though.

before replacing your videocard you could also see if the same thing happens with other games.

I had this with my old radeon 9800, check your fan, mostlikely its burnt out and damaged your card. Gonna have to replace it to resolve this problem.

1. Looks like your video card is fried. Probably heat.

2. I have no idea what the Lich gangbanging with undead Rurik sounds like, but I do know that only two components of a computer make bad noises -- the fans and the drives. Run scandisk on your hard drives and check your fans for dust/hair/dead insects/trace evidence of the Lich gangbanging with undead Rurik. Since it looks like your video card died a heat death, I'd bet it's a fan problem. You may have to replace fans that aren't running right.

3. Turn off your computer, and unplug it, then dust it thoroughly and clean out the fans, heatsink , and air intakes. Pledge Grabbits do a decent job of collecting dust without damaging components.

if that is a NVidia 8600 GT 256 vram then yes it's a pretty good card. 97 euro is something like $160 USD isn't it? If so that's not a bad price, you might do better, but not by much. Make sure that it is compatible with your computer though.

I've heard that version of that card gets ridiculously hot(less than stellar heatsink). If you choose that one you'd better have good airflow in your case.
