What's the problem? Is Windows asking to delete the Guild Wars directory? You'll have to supply more detail, perhaps you can start with the error message and the source of the error message.

When I insert the disk, Windows 2000 is asking to format The GW disk saying it is not formatted. I haven't installed it yet in fact just bought it 3 hours ago. I'm trying to install and it's not letting me. No autostart and the pc isn't telling me it recognizes the disk.

This might be an issue with your actual CD-Rom or it could be that the software is on a DVD but you only have a CD-rom drive.
If it's the drive that is faulty, you will have to replace it.
You can also download the client directly from the guild wars site. That will allow you to install without any issues.

Thank you Digweed. I have the platinum edition so yes, it's probably a DVD. If I try to DL it, my father'll kill me. Dammit..... Thanks a ton thought I'll try to find a DVD drive around here somewhere.

I think that you might be able to only download what you need (not all 3-4 gigs), but that would still be fairly large.

the client is small, its when you run the game you will have to download 3-4 gigs of files. Even if you had the CD you are still going to have to d/l alot of files.

Thanks. I didn't realize you had to download it regardless. I downloaded the game and then the starting town. My father ripped me an ISO of the game so either way I can play now.

That is the worst pun in the history of puns. You, sir, should be drug out into the street and shot, and resurrected, and shot again for that pun.
