Default CPU Frequency Error.

Off and on today I noticed a...... weird glitch. My Systems Properties agent would sometimes read my CPU's frequency at 1.00 ghz, 1.81 ghz, and 2.01 ghz (normal). Does anyone know what is going on?

EDIT Pics removed, problem solved.

It's a dual core... It looks like it's fine to me. Though I may be overlooking something.

Is it normal to show different CPU frequencies at different times?

Try checking with SIW, or CPUz.

Another thing I see that is horribly wrong is that you're using Norton...

You missed the Hello Kitty, and Poohs Forest Adventure icons. Yer looking at a 6 hour a day player . And if I happen to browse certain websites, and click some links, there might be some side effects, such as certain content being downloaded.

BTW Yea I know Norton sucks, just had it running because this is a new hard drive. I'll have BitDefender running in no time.

And Also BTW Eggroll you solved my dilemma.

Get avast, or Avira's AV, both are very good at detection, but I personally recommend avast.

There's a free version of Avast out there right?

Yep.

(Just proved to myself that you should never click on the "sponsored link(s)" at the top of the Google results page. I don't know what they were, but they were extremely suspect.)
