HA Crashes pc
Hi im having an annoying problem with my guildwars. Although it happens occasionally when ever i go to the underworld in Heros ascent after finishing the zaishen i get the under world cutscene.
And AT the cutscene if i press skip or even be4 I press it at times my computer freezes and shuts down.
Is there a problem with my pc or is any 1 else also facing this problem?

It's because you were running Sway.
..j/k
Failure to load any one particular area is usually a corrupted .dat, but can be because that particular area is too graphically intensve for your GPU to render.
Need more info here - is it a recent problem, or has it always happened? Do you have problems in any other areas of GW? (Ignore if you're pure PvP). What are your PC's specs, particularly graphics card/chip?

This happened to me once in HoH and we were holding in an intense battle.... and we were gunna win too but my comp crashed too.
idk im guessing it is a rare HA problem as it never happened to me before (just that one time) and i played HA after that and was fine.
i thought it was other players manipulating the client/server or w/e but i guess that is not the case since you said it happened to you after zaishen... and during cutscene.

Ooh ouch - you're running on bare minimum specs there. Ideally, you need a whole new PC - nothing too special, great systems can be had for under $500 (or £400).
More memory would be a start - if you can find some for that system still (old DDR is still around but is expensive due to low demand).
Alternatively, it may be a problem with your gw.dat. I almost hate mentioning it after a recent thread where I was wrong (heh), but if you have a good internet connection it shouldn't take you too long to d/l a new .dat
If you don't know how to do this, it is a case of deleting gw.dat from your Guild Wars folder, then running GW with the -image switch. The easiest way to do this is to go Start > Run, then enter the following (exactly):
Code:
"C://Program Files/Guild Wars/gw.exe" -image
Assuming that your Guild Wars is installed in the default location.
Can take several hours, depending on connection speed, but you can leave it to run overnight.

Agreed with the Snograt. A corrupted dat file may not be the answer, but we need to rule it out first, so we know that's not the problem.

try loading into other areas and see if it crashes.
either way, it just sounds like your computer is too old and is beginning to fail.

well it works perfectly fine in ALL other areas except HA. Infact i have no problems in the rest of HA , its only the underworld cutscene.
anyways while restarting i got an error popup it said:
"The system has recovered from a serious error.
A log of this error has been created
For more information about this error click here.
after clicking i got the message below
Error signature
BCCode : 100000d1 BCP1 : 6EC5D63F BCP2 : 00000002 BCP3 : 00000000
BCP4 : 6EC5D63F OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1
there was an option to view techincal info on the error and when i clicked it this is what it showed"
C:\DOCUME~1\Zubair\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERad1e.dir00\Min i072708-01.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\Zubair\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERad1e.dir00\sys data.xml
dunno if this helps.

Not enough of the error there. Was that an ANet crash report or a Windows one? If it was ANet, look in your Guild Wars folder for an ArenaNet.txt - that's their crash log, which might give us an insight.

Maybe you could post a minidump of the error?
The minidump could be found at C:/Windows/Minidump
Do enable the blue screen of death and take note of the error code.
From the looks of it, it seems like it is a Windows error and it is most likely the 'Bad_Pool_Caller' error.

The one from %Windir%\Minidump is helpful, along with the one in C:\DOCUME~1\Zubair\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERad1e.dir00\Min i072708-01.dmp

Well im not really farmiliar with minidumps but when i went to c:/windows/minidumps there were many .dmp files and i dont know which 1 is the right one but i did find the Mini072708-01.dmp file in the windows/minidump folder
That file was not in the C:\DOCUME~1\Zubair\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERad1e.dir00 folder cause i could not locate the WERDad1e.dir00 thingy.
Anyway as for the Mini072708-01.dmp file i found in the windows folder i opened it with windows debugger and got some text , i copied it and put in in notepad so its easier for you all to check :

btw just an update , i wokeup today checking to see if the problem still exists, its infact gone even worse now.
When i go to HA any district where u form parties , my guildwars froze. i havent even started the mission , this is new as it never happend to me be4.
As it froze i got what i think was SUPPOSE to be the blue screen of death , the only thing is that it wasnt blue at all since everything was so glitchy. all grey and brown full of glitches not the blue backdground which was suppose to come. Anyway it did not also show the complete text , only the bottom part was visible and this is all i saw from the text:
STOP OP: 0x0000007F ( 0x00000000D,0xD000000D,0x00000000,0x00000000)
Begining dump of physical memory
Making dump completed
Contact techincal support or administrator for assistance <-- something like that
so i restarted my pc and loaded up guildwars again , and after 10 minutes it happend again i got the glitchy screen of death but this time i could only read the begining dump of physical memory part nothing else.
I dont have a clue to whats going on now the problem just escalated for some reason without me disturbing anything.

0x0000007F: UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP
One of three types of problems occurred in kernel-mode: (1) Hardware failures. (2) Software problems. (3) A bound trap (i.e., a condition that the kernel is not allowed to have or intercept). Hardware failures are the most common cause (many dozen KB articles exist for this error referencing specific hardware failures) and, of these, memory hardware failures are the most common.

if this began to occur recently, it could be that your computer is dying. probably the graphic card.
