Asura corpses stand up
Every time I see a dead Asura, they look like this (Vekk included):
I've tried deleting gw.dat and downloading it again using -image, but to no avail.
Anything else that might be causing this? Or should I try getting a new gw.dat again?

I have the same problem with Tahlkora.
She never has her staff in her hand, has no casting animations, and is always standing up no matter what. Knockdowns interupt her but she doesn't fall down and she is standing while dead also. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, deleted GW.dat and got a fresh one, and she still does this.

Not sure what it is if your gw.dat has been replaced. They look fine on every pc i have played on.

I get the same thing with knockdowns on my Derv whilst I am using the Lyssa Avatar. On knockdown my toon freezes for a few moments (whilst the KD anim should be playing I guess).

If you've got a fast connection you could uninstall GW and delete the directory, then download the client and then run it with -image.
That way you're guaranteed there are no corrupted settings files or anything outside GW.dat that's corrupt. If the problem persists you know it's not the GW files but something with the system.
If you do this, remember to save any screenshots and saved builds first.

That's really odd - things like this, jumping npcs, mysterious white boxes - they're all generally corrupt .dat files. The only two necessary files are gw.exe and gw.dat - there's also a mysterious gw.tmp that appears to be 0 bytes whenever you check it - maybe it does something when gw is running, but it must rebuild every time.
Long story short - try another new .dat
OR - see if there are many more reports. You're not alone, so it may possibly be a new bug...

I've had it for ages, just never been bothered to fix it since getting a new gw.dat didn't solve the problem.. Only just realized that nobody else I play with seems to have dead asuras standing about.
I'd be more prone to thinking it was a new bug if everyone had the same problem, but since it's only a few it's more likely a corrupt file.
Edit: After deleting gw.dat again and downloading it one more time it appears that my problem is solved.
Unfortunately I didn't have time to check an already existing corpse (like the ones in Alcazia Tangle during the quest "A Little Help") but atleast Vekk is now on his back when he dies. His animations while casting also seem to be displayed properly. *yay*
Why it didn't solve it the first time is beyond me, but it appears it was a corrupt gw.dat
