Ive been using texmod happily for a while now but ive suddenly stumbled across an odd problem thats made me unable to use it

. Yesterday the texmod.exe disapeared from the folder I had it saved in, I assumed I had just accidentally deleted it and so I redownloaded it. But whenever I extract the .zip file texmod.exe just dissapears. I can see its in the .zip file by using winrar but whenever i extract the only thing that comes out is the readme.txt file.

Any help as to whats going wrong would be appreciated please.

Some antivirus programs treat Texmod as virus. If you are using one make sure that Texmod's directory (and/or texmod.zip too) is on exception list in your antivir software. Or just simply turn it off.

Yep its Norton I had the same problem you need to go into Norton and go here

Once in that you need to add the folder where your Texmod was to both boxes for scan and auto protect once that is done, you can just redownload Texmod back to the original folder and your all set.

Ive got Norton 360, any idea where abouts in its overly complicated mass of tabs the bit i want is?

Settings->Virus And Spyware Protection->File Exclusions.

Norton 360 is confusing.
