So I just built a new computer, here's the build:

The problem I'm getting is that the computer seems to go on standby when I'm playing Guild Wars... I don't seem to have the problem with TF2, though I might not have played it enough to see. The GPU and CPU isn't getting too hot(around 68C/37C respectively max). The monitor will go off, and I can't get it to wake up. I can hear the game music, but I can't seem to turn it back on with the keyboard or mouse and using those I don't seem to affect anything in the game (ie, I won't hear a skill from pressing a button). The computer still seems like it's on though. I'll have to restart the computer to bring the computer back to life. Any ideas on what could be going wrong? The power supply? GPU? This is completely random also, it happens within 20 minutes, or I can play for hours on end without it happening. I've updated my drivers to the latest, and believe that I've turned off all the options in the control panel where it will go on standby after a set amount of time. Thanks!

Alright, so it may not be going into Standby, all you know is your monitor goes black but your computer still works in the background. This can be any number of issues:

1) First, make sure all your little pluggies are plugged in properly on your motherboard. Make sure your monitor cable is not lose.

2) Windows 7 is not a real OS yet, it may be your source of issue!

3) Check your Stand-by and other power saving settings. One of them may be buggy and your computer goes into some form of power save even though you're still using it.

4) Check your bios settings for power save, try disabling them all and see if you're fixed.

5) Use an old videocard or borrow a friends. Videocards have fairly high failure rates compared to most other parts, yours may be shot.

AA) I'd just try disabling a whole lotta stuff and see if it gets fixed.
