if you do the "-image" on a avg DSL it will take 6 or more hours to finish the download.... both commands are designed to fix or replace a corrupted gw.dat file - obviously you want to try "-repair" first.

both commands make no difference for me.

fizzle try looking in this thread there are tips in there that might help you

flare try turning down your setting in guild wars try turning vertical sync post processing effects turn your visual quality down a bit and use a lower resolution to run guild wars and see if that makes a difference

that isn't the problem, All my specifications are greater than minimum. My graphics card can handle all the high quality settings. I tested low settings and a lower resolutions, doesn't work.

Well, I'll see guild wars later because it isn't my hardware's problem.

well then if you dont want to try anything play with the lower fps you dont have to get snippy we are only trying to help but if you dont want it why make a post in the first place. i saw the specs on your card im wondering if its the same problem the 6 series has or not thats why i wanted you to try those things out and report back but since you dont want to do that try your maunfufacturer instead

do you have a backup card, or integrated graphics? if so, you can take out your current graphic card and see if the frame rates go up or not. if it does, then your card IS defective. GW is known to be really sensitive to hardware problems, and will often throw errors long before other games begin failing.

I'll second what Moriz said - GW is far more sensitive to some problems that most games are... it often will act very weird when there is a problem... long before any other games do so in fact. :S

MrFizzle - there is a thread stickied in the Hardware Forum that will help you tweak your Intel graphics card so that it performs better with Guild Wars - Moriz is the thread author btw.

Thanks alot, it made it run a bit better. At least I can sort of gvg without playing like complete shit.

another tip on XP hit start then run type msconfig look at how many things you have running. You can choose selective start up like I do and close a lot of stuff off you don't need.

azntosh what setting are you trying to run guild wars in i see i might be mistaken your trying to run it with a 32mb graphics card which i think is under the recommended specs for guild wars i think you might put your setting on the lowest you can and turn off post porocess effects and unclick wait for vertical sync.
