Odd.. very odd Mr. 007
Okay so here's my problem.
About 5 or 6 days ago I downloaded the GW trial version, and everything was running smoothly. Today my friend bought me the full version, so I entered my new key, got my bonus stuff, started playing the game with her for about 2 hoursish. Soon I found that loading the map started at 0% went straight to 100% (obviously everything has been downloaded during my trial) then stopped and left me waiting for about 3 or 4 minutes.
After this sometimes it would let me on, D/C me from my party and not let me do a lot before throwing me off with error 007. So I check if I can go onto the net, my IM program is fine connection is fine. Just to be sure I restart my wireless and it lets me back on for about half hour until the problem starts again. Right now I'm trying to get back on and it sits at 0% now for a few then goes to 100% for a few lets me on then D/Cs me.
What really confuses me is that in the 10 hours I was allowed to play in the trial version, THIS PROBLEM DID NOT OCCUR. It only seems to have started AFTER upgrading to the full game.
If anyone can help me out with this I'd appreciate it, it's getting ridiculously annoying ¬¬ Thanks in advance x
:edit: My friend was playing at the same time and she didn't experience the problems I was experiencing, so it's definately me ><

Are you visiting new areas you didn't in the trial?

Nope, it was all the same places and no new files were being downloaded at all because I already have them installed.

Aye. But while were on that note are you sure? you installed them all? You have to do the -image to install everything.

(I'm a n00b to some terms lolz) Sorry but what's the '-image'? I'm pretty sure that it installed everything, during the trial I went to and from all areas with no problems at all, surely merely upgrading to a full account doesn't mean any extra downloads?

The -image thing is downloading all the game files by using an add-on to your execute command line. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Command_line This takes hours so is best done overnight or while you are away from home. What it does is allow you to move to new areas with no long waits to download new files.

Okay, thank you for the explanation I'll try -image and let it do its thing overnight, I'll try the game out tomorrow and see if it's done the job.
So is my D/C because of the files that haven't been downloaded? Or is that another issue altogether?

Use -image and come back and tell us the results, if you still have DCs it's something else. It doesn't hurt to do -image anyway. Then you won't have to load areas you haven't been to.

Okay, an update!!
Left -image to run overnight, and right this second it is STILL hanging on 100% trying to get into Ascalon. Been like this for 2 minutes now. I've noticed there have been other users with D/C issues on the forum after the latest update, looking at the time frame that would explain why GW was working fine during the trial and not now. (still waiting to get into Ascalon lol) Oh and it has just thrown me back to character selection with a 007 error. :/

Mmm...sorry I don't know what could be wrong. If anything, reinstall Guild Wars. Then do -image again.
