hello!,
i humbly ask what would be the perfect components to buy to maintain a solid 60Frame,Per,Second, with in Any Guildwars game. Thank you for your patience in the matter...

my rig consists of Q9550 8gigs OCZ reaper and a 4850 1gb from sapphire and i run at a constant 60fps @ 1920x1080 res. You obviously are not going to need 8gigs of ram but i have them because I do quite a lot of work in Photoshop. Your graphic card will be the most important part of your PC if your main objective is to game. Also if you are not planning on getting crysis 2 you could get away with a 700$ system that will play GW just fine and probably GW2 as well since the makers of GW2 stated in one of there videos that they are playing the game on machines that have hardware that isn't even available in stores anymore... Well, I have a laptop that always runs at 60 except for when you enter a new crowded area like Kamadan, it drops to 51 sometimes to climb back up to 60 a few seconds later... *shock*

It's rather expensive to have a rig that's always at 60 (I wouldn't mind slight drops if I were you :P), although I think like guy above me said, you don't need something that heavy. For something around that amount you should be able to get something good I suppose. However minimum amount of GB Ram would definitely (IMO) be 4gb and take a videocard with 512MB to 1GB dedicated RAM. Some of the higher end ATI Radeons are definitely worth it but may be a tadbit expensive. Also processors are rarely ever the bottleneck factor in running games and I don't believe you need an extremely powerful to run GW on 60fps, it pretty much depends on your graphics card alone.

Again, my laptop doesn't stick to 60 all the time, but I can play Modern Warfare 2 with over 60fps on this laptop (max res/quality as long as it doesn't overheat, laptop cooler ftw). In my Desktop PC I have a GeForce GTX8600(S?) and a single core processor AMD Athlon 3700 or so (I don't even remember) and it runs fine at 50-60 (1600 x 1080) FPS all the time so it doesn't take a high-end gaming rig to achieve max FPS in GW.

GW2 specs should be similar to GW1.

One question I have for you, will you be playing other games in near future, and which ones would that be?

(Btw, benchmarks are out there to compare different graphics card... In general rule, ATI's cards are currently faster than GeForce)

ATI cards perform better with AA/AF on... with AA off geforce will mostly surpass ATI by about 5~fps but whats the point of playing games with no AA?

You could use something like this and should be safe for playing GW2 and any recent games that you would like to play.
AMD 5770
i3 530 its a dual core but 4 threads so its the same thing that I have basically. Should be able to hit 3.8 easily with this processor.

and you can pick your own motherboard. I personally like Gigabyte but up to you.

all i really play is Gw1 on PC, and plan on buying GW2 the day of... so i was thinking on future proofing for GW2 @60Fps as well. Once again thank you kindly.

No point in getting a dual core in this day and age really, alot of games are supporting four cores (and have huge benefits while doing so), depending on your budget, a Phenom II 955 or an i7 would be better.

As for the graphics card, the 5770 is obselete, either get the GTX 460 768MB or if you can spend a little more then a HD 6850.

Oh, and have a decent Powersupply too.

For 2.5k you can get the parts for a cutting edge PC that's for sure, but you will be throwing 2/3 of that money down the toilet if all you want to do is play GW1 & GW2. GW1 is an old game 5yrs and counting now, it will run on almost any computer with a dedicated video card these days. GW2 will look inifinitely better and will take allot more PC power to maintain 60 FPS at High settins, but it will still not take a bleeding edge system to run it. Nobody knows for sure what it will take to run it at this time since Anet has not released any system requirements at this time.

Where are you located? Newegg.com has the best prices most of the time and the best service anywhere imo, but they only ship to the USA....

If you're gonna spend 2,5k on new pc then that's overspending big time if you just want to play GW on it... For 2,5k you can get something that runs any game really smooth.

Don't go out and spend that amount of money just to play MMOs. Get a good rig with as much future proofability (ok not a real word lol) as possible, and plan to spend money as needed to upgrade parts down the road. So don't spend more than $1000 now, including monitor and OS. Then every 2-3 years you can swap some parts out for newer things that don't even exist yet, or that are prohibitively expensive now. You will end up spending less this way and when your 5-7 years are up you will still have a viable computer, instead of an antique.

With the exception of busy districts, I reckon a GeForce 6800 / ATI equivalent would maintain 60fps.. when I first played GW I maintained a solid 30fps on a GeForce 2 card (which isn't even supported).
Anyway, budget hardly seems to be a problem for you.. just go with whatever card is the best at the time.
