Default Why does it crash so much for me?

Simple, I hope - why does Guild Wars crash so much for me? Picture below demonstrates on what it looks like when it won't let me on at all;

As I've noticed, the box that has latest news in it doesn't show up after crashing, I have no idea why this is.

Before people suggest checking passwords, account name and security question, I am 100% they are correct.
I am also fully able to browse internet sites, including the official Guild Wars website without problems.

Any ideas or suggestions?

What Anti virus are you using and did you make sure it isn't blocking the connection?

It could possibly be a firewall setting. A firewall, antivirus, or router is blocking port 6112 and/or port 80 will cause this problem too. Open and/or forward both TCP port 6112 and TCP port 80 within their settings.

Probably not the issue, but:
That '60' in the upper-left corner makes me think of FRAPS. Have you tried running without it, or with different settings?

Btw, you can get an in-game FPS by adding -fps to the end of your game shortcut.

you can get your FPS by mousing over the little dot in the bottom left corner at anytime ingame. Also, is it crashing once you are in the game or is it just not allowing you to connect in the first place?

It crashes while I am ingame playing, it occurs 2 different ways:

I enter a new instance of an area (using a portal for the next explorable) and it will never load.

The other method it occurs is I'm doing literally anything from quests to afk'ing in Kaineng City, I get jammed in an abnormally huge ping spike (high 60k+), unable to do anything like log out, then it shortly disconnects me for an uknown reason, and then it shows the picture above for anything from minutes to hours not wanting to load.

actually, the -fps tag is used to artificially reduce your fps to a specified amount. as in, -fps 30 will limit your fps to 30. the tag you want is -perf.

you don't have a crashing issue, but a network issue. check your internet connection speed and latency, and don't download random crap while gaming.

I literally never download anything, the only things I have open while playing Guild Wars is GwGuru, sometimes GwWiki.

Albeit, my internet speed is slow but how come it sometimes works and sometimes it does not?

I don't think internet speed is the problem.

disconnections and high pings are network issues. you most definitely don't have a crash issue here.

your connection might not only be slow, but maybe even inconsistent. what kind of ISP do you have, and are you using wireless?
