Arena.net and GuildWars website problems
G'day to every one.
I have a major issue with every official Arena Net, Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 websites. Every time i try to open these sites i get the "Server not found" page.
Now here is where it gets interesting. I live in Serbia and I asked my friends if they can open those pages, and none of my friends could. But when i asked a friend in Hungary to open the pages, he could.
I can start the game, and i asked ppl if they had problem, but they didn't, and nor Serbs were around no verify conundrum.
I can't even leave a complain or anything.
So I would like to ask for help here on the most recognized GW fan site.

Maybe it has to do with your internet laws in Serbia? Are there people there who play GW and sell accounts? Then Anet can without question do something about it. Or it could be the other way around, your government is up to something.

Maybe there's a problem with a local DNS where you and your friends live?

I'm hesitant to suggest it as a long term solution - but have you tried using a proxy? That would at least tell you if it is your country vs Anet or not. I'd be surprised if the entire nation was on Anet's black list though; I lived in Romania for awhile and never had any problem connecting to those sites... and RO is #3 in the world for hackers, pirates, and other related illegal internet Activies. :/

Bump... This is still going on, i'm from Serbia too and can't access the sites (including www.ncsoft.com and www.plaync.com, i CAN access www.ncsoft.net) though i can log in to play. Very weird stuff... Hope this gets solved soon. Not that i NEED the websites at the moment but i need to be able to trust ArenaNet.

hi guys! i am from Serbia, 5 year long player of GW, and i found a solution for this temporary mess. just go to your network properties and in DNS address type Google Public DNS : 8.8.8.8 - and voila, works like a charm!
enjoy, until Telekom repair their own mistake.
Cheers from Serbia, iliti Zziveli

Primary DNS 8.8.8.8 Secondary DNS 8.8.4.4
...just for the sake of completeness.
