A friend of mine got the error code. They emailed gw support stating their case and support was able to help them. Turned out someone was trying to access their account by trying to log into it multiple times. Apparently when that happens, they freeze the account to prevent further hacking. So try contacting gw support and see if they can help clear it up. Good luck!

I just came back after a half-year hiatus and I got the same code but I've been playing since Monday now. They are going to ask you a LOT of questions but they mostly just want to know your name, your date of birth, your address, the access code (I didn't have), but the most important thing that finally allowed them to give me back my account was the master account email and if they really go in depth then the credit card number used for making a purchase on your account if you bought anything like expansions or costumes in the NC Soft store. It took them two-three days of constant questions like these above but just keep answering as clear as possible and you should get your account back. I finally accessed mine because they sent my master email a message with the "new password" to unlock my account and go in and reset the password. Good luck and it should be a smooth process, they are very understanding as long as you provide as much information as possible and seem friendly which you should be good.

I'm noticing a lot of err=045 posts lately. It comes to my attention because my friend had one of his alt accounts blocked with the same thing, same reason, last week -- suspected unauthorized access. I don't know if we're experiencing a rash of hacking attempts or if the flagging is flawed. But it does seem interesting that we're seeing so many right now.
As said, supply as much proof of ownership to support as you possibly can. Be polite, be persistent. If you didn't share your account with anyone, and you are the rightful owner, with patience and dedication, you can get your account back.

Mine was blocked a few hours ago... the word "permanently" freaks me out, hope they can fix it. Thousand of hours during these 5 years, would hate to lose it. Although I have a feeling that my wife would be happier if I'd be forced to stop playing

It took one day untill they lifted the block on my ncsoft account, fortunately I was able to provide enough info. Apparantely someone other than me was accessing my account. While I'm grateful for the security measures they dont really provide you with detailed explanation... I would expect an email notification telling me that they thought someone tries to hack my account, or there were too many login attempts or whaterever and they had to block my account until I clear it ( I still dont know what exactly happened and the message "your account is permanently blocked" did not help my mood); Although I asked what precautions shall I take to avoid this in the future I did not received a reply to that; I'm afraid now that someone knows my ncsoft account name they will try to hack it again, shall I expect frequent account blocks in the future, etc.

Hmm, this seems to be a trend. Happened to me this morning. I emailed NCsoft Support straight away and got a response within the hour. They've been very helpful. Hopefully my account is reopened soon!

2 of my Guildies had the same issue last week, but one got access within 3 days and the other within 24 hours, I guess it depends if they have a previous offence listed on there account aswell.
