Can't connect to game, Guildwars.com (again)
Since the last time I logged off and closed out the game at about 7 am, I'm being unable to get back into the game. I can connect to Arenanet when I start the game, but I keep getting error code 058 (routing issue) when I try to log in. Guildwars.com is also proving very slow to load, or not loading. Is anyone else having trouble this morning? Specifically, is anyone else using Comcast as their ISP having issues? It seemed that last time this happened (last month), the problem was on both Comcast (router) and Arenanet's ends.

Yep, I'm having the same trouble. I thought it was my computer, since it's in the process of dying, but I can confirm that neither Guild Wars nor the website work with Comcast.

Always have had the same problem
I have comcast and have this problem all the time. However, I also have norton so I found that just changing the settings on the firewall and then restarting your computer works well. Best of Luck

I suppose the next step is to go over to Comcast and check to see who else is having the problem. I don't use Norton so that's not an option.

Just tried logging into gw - can login, select a character, but then stuck at the loading screen. Comcast user also. Hoping that they'll be fixing this soon.

I did manage to get through to NCSoft and filed a ticket. They told me a number of other Comcast users are reporting the same or similar problems. You may have to contact Comcast tech support as well (that's what NCSoft advised me to do).

I just completed an online chat session with Comcast tech support. We tested the connection, I did some pings to various GW game servers (I found the IP addresses from last month's problem), and Comcast had me do an ipconfig release and renew to reset and refresh my connection (didn't work, GW and guildwars.com are still unreachable). The Comcast tech did his own tests and reported he wasn't able to get through to the game servers or guildwars.com either, so he had me send NCSoft a form called a "blocked provider form" to collect additional data and I believe that Comcast is going to follow up the issue directly with NCSoft.

I called comcast but while I was talking to the rep I was able to log into gw and load my character without problems. So whatever was wrong is now fixed - at least for me. Hope it gets fixed for others as well

Really? Let me try that now!
(....)
Bingo!!! Logged on. Now to load a character...
(....)
Logged on, and I'm in Doomlore Shrine now. Hmmmm, apparently going to Comcast and telling them to get their heads together with NCSoft worked!

Comcast has a tendency to f*ck with their customers and blame others. I was a comcast customer at one time and as soon as I was able to switch, I did. Sadly though I have switched to another carrier and lo and behold, Comcast is one of their backers
So yes, I am able to get to the character screen, but it won't let me actually get into the game
Clearwire (Comcast) techs claim it is an issue on ANet's side, but a friend of mine using Time Warner cable is not having any issues.
