Default Which Bootcamp do I use?

I went to the Apple Support BootCamp download website and got these downloads:

http://support.apple.com/downloads/#macoscomponents

How do I know which one to download? I just want to use the Windows partition for Guild Wars and Microsoft Excel.

All versions of Mac OS X 10.5 or later (any computer made in the last 3.5 years) already come pre installed with Boot Camp. If you're running 10.5 or later and you can't find it, just press the search icon in the upper right hand corner and type in 'Boot Camp'.

Once you partition your hard drive out for boot camp you can remove the partition if you no longer need the partition.

Make sure you have your initial install Mac OS X disc or your Snow Leopard disc to install Windows drivers for boot camp after your Windows installation. Any version of Windows from XP to 7 should run decent on your Mac unless it's minimum configuration of a Intel Mac when they first came out.

Hope this helps.

Yes you can uninstall it. Should you? Nope. I understand the feeling of having something 'icky' in your computer which you don't like, and you want to get it out, but I assure you Boot Camp was developed by Apple and it's part of their operating system, and there's absolutely no reason to uninstall it. Unless of course you really want that tiny little bit of space, and even then I'd highly recommend you to find something else to delete first.

Why you shouldn't remove Boot Camp:

- If you ever want to make any changes to Windows, you need it.
- If you want to delete Windows off your computer, you need it.
