Fullscreen w/ Dual Monitors
I'm running my Alienware aws2310 monitor off of my Alienware m15x laptop as a dual monitor, and playing GW on the monitor while having guru, itunes, etc on the laptop screen. My problem with GW is it will only let me make it about the size of my laptop screen (15") windowed and if I make it fullscreen it moves over to the laptop screen, whereas it will let me make my browser, youtube videos, etc fullscreen when dragged over to the monitor. Any way to fix this or possible a program I could use to make the game fullscreen? Also games that cannot be windowed will not open in the monitor but although it may be a problem later on, it is not currently my main concern. Thanks.

I had this very same problem when running GW on my NetBook with a full sized monitor plugged in. For some reason the windowed version of GW just wont expand beyond the size of your main monitor.
What I couldn't do, but perhaps you can, is redefine, on your system, which monitor is number1 and which is number2. This might let you do what you wish.

I've actually tried that with no luck. When I make the monitor my #1 it does the same thing- refuses to expand any larger and when made fullscreen it goes to the laptop screen.

Sounds like you need to discuss this on the new Official GW Support Forum.

You can not use dual screen when in a full screen game like Guild Wars, those that take over the video when full screen. Maximizing an app isn't the same as a full screen app, that is why you can maximize the "window" of your browser or program and still use the other monitor.

Fullscreen applications always run on the primary monitor. You can change which is the primary one by going in your video card settings.

I use autohotkey to change the game to a borderless windowed mode. This essentially gets you fullscreen while still technically being in a window as far as the game and the OS is concerned with all of the benefits that entails.
Downside is that Guild Wars is coded weird, your mouse cursor will end up slightly offset from what it appears. At the top left of the screen it works normally, while when its near the bottom right you have to click with the bottom right of the mouse cursor to precisely hit something. Not a big problem for me though, if you use the hotkeys then the only thing you need a mouse for is click to move and map pinging, those hardly need to be precise anyways.

@impulsion I have changed which is the primary monitor and it still acts the same way, @Kunder even windowed for some reason it wont let me make it the size of the full screen, instead it will only go to about the size of my laptop screen. Web browsers etc are able to use the whole screen though. It's weird, I can move the game around the screen wherever I want but I can't make it bigger. For example, I can move gw to any corner, center of the screen, etc but it will still stay the same size.
