account falsely banned
I already submitted a support request but wanted to know. If you're account has been falsely "terminated for selling or assisting in selling of gold" what is the chance of getting your account back? I have been playing this game for 5 years and had even bought an assortment of stuff from arenanets in game store such as storage panels and costumes and supported others buying these things.
One day I do a vanguard quest in pre-ascalon and a bit of trading in temple of balthazar and then the next, bam, accounts gone.

unless the actions they identified where from a different ip address, then you probably wont get it back ever. also, if they banned you they probably had a reason, they dont just randomly banhammer people without evidence.
if youve been caught up confidently then i feel for you, but its unlikely youll get the account back

Considering how many times I have seen similar things on this forum I am starting to think that they actually do banhammer at random. If this doesn't get resolved I sincerely hope that GW2 is a flop and that NCsoft pulls the plug on the GW series like it has some of it's other titles.

I was banned once for giving a way of bunch of stuff to my brother and other guildies for free right after I moved to China, they thought my account had been hacked. Took me about 3 days and a flurry of emails to get my account back. Just keep pushing and provide as much information as possible and if it was actually a mistake you should get it back.

the reason you see it alot is because no one posts 'account banned because i was RL trading' or ' not banned, just saying hi'.
and the 'i hope its a flop' comment is just pathetic. you sound like an impotent 13 year old. even if you dont get it back, its not that hard to get up and running on a new account, i mean sure, you might not have gwamm on every char, but youll be able to do any area and any role in 4 weeks if you work hard at it

NCSoft is dumb when it comes to this stuff IMO...
I had an issue on my aion account...I was banned falsely...didn't give a real reason. I think people falsely reported me...anyways, I appealed and won because they found I did nothing wrong.
I called support...I think that may have helped. Also, put in a ticket on the website.

Right, they dont randomly ban without evidence huh, my g/f got banned and when she contacted them they told her she breached there conditions ( swearing ) she told them it wasn't her they told her they do not make mistakes, so she got there number phoned support, then suddenly after a review of the logs, they did make a mistake, and they banned the wrong person, ta da account unbanned,
They make mistakes all the time, if you are truly innocent, contact them, if you get no joy from support ( which you likely wont, as they are like automated drones, DOES NOT compute ) you can try Gailes support page on Wiki, and ask her to look into it.

I've been banned for "gold selling" as well, rofl... they DO ban at random cuz their security system is trash I'm pretty sure it's automatic and just flags accounts for multiple random shit.
To OP: Fight with the people @ support don't stop sending emails & call them too.

I know I am going to jinx myself here.
Never been banned or threatened with a ban or had anyone object to my speech in game or my character name.
Nor so far as I can tell have I ever been hacked.
What am I doing that has given me such a charmed life over the last 5 years.
What are others doing that seems to cause them so many problems are some isps more prone or could it be the country your running the game in.
I am at a loss to decide who is at fault here in any case there is absolutely no point in posting here again and again because all you can ever get is sympathy.
Use the default complaint procedures and hope for the best

As to the OP, all you can do is persist with your contact with support.
Experience has shown us (many, many times!) that threads on this subject serve no purpose. We're sorry to hear of your plight, but there is nothing we here can do for you.
