Thanks A-net
Well for some reason "my" graphics driver is not compatible with Bahdork Caverns. It works fine every where else I've been but I keep getting a graphics error when I try to enter this place. I could down load new drivers but instead I just went back and have begun to finish up the parts of Prophecies and Factions I skipped over. Needless to say I am having a ball with my heroes in the older chapters, so thanks A-net.
Maybe later I’ll fix my incompatible driver and finish Nightfall.

I had the same problem....try searching online for a program called 3d analyzer (play around with the settings or search this forum about it). It tricks programs into thinking your video card is better than it is. I am at work right now but if you are still having problems after that send me a PM and when I get home (5pm Est) I can try to help you out.

I could but it cost money. It really isn't a big problem it is just an annoyance. I just do not understand why my driver has worked fine and still does except for when I try to enter Bahdork Caverns.
And since I can’t continue on with Nightfall I have just decided to finish what I skipped in the later chapters until I decide I want to spend the extra cash and fix the problem. May try Coridan's sugestion if it is free

Doing the older chapters with heroes is great isn't it? I might try 4 manning the whole thing and killing every group ( I'm not gonna skip the hard groups and still claim I did it).
You might want to thank the company that made your video card and drivers too while you're at it

What the hell are you on about? Video drivers are totally free, you don't have to pay for them. If you can't be arsed to download new drivers in an attempt to rectify your problem it's not ANets fault at all. It's entirely your own!

Boy you guys are a touchy bunch.
I was not dogging out A-net. I am really enjoying playing the older chapters. I have not finished any of them as I only started playing at the start of this summer. As soon as I would get a new chapter I would jump over to it. I am a casual player so I’m not all about crashing through games in a day or two.
As for the drivers being free that is great, but the driver I down loaded was not free it cost around 40 bucks. I doubt if I will pay for it though I will check out other options.
I would like to thank everyone for their advice, I will over look the sarcasm.

So you're saying you were being asked to pay £20 to download a driver for you video card? Could you provide a link to where you downloaded them from?
Sorry to say this but you've come very close to being conned there! Graphics drivers have always been free to download. I've been using and working with computers for over 25 years and not once in all that time have I seen a graphics driver that cost money to download.
What graphics card do you have installed?

I cant find link to that site, it wasn't asking up front for the money but had a 30 day limit on the driver until I paid up. I guess it would disable after that or something. I don't know just didn't think I should pay for it up front didn't even bookmark the site.
Anyway I went straight to Intel this evening and downloaded their new driver for my card and wouldn't you know it will not work. I get an error message:
This driver cannot be installed on this computer. Please contact the computer's manufacture for further information. Setup will exit.
So I guess I should thank Dell and Intel for all the fun I’m having and A-net for creating such a fun game.
As for the driver issue I will have to talk to a few people that know a whole lot more about these confounded machines than I do because I'm at my limit of expertise.

Why don't you just post what graphics card you have, then perhaps we can steer you in the right direction for drivers. Although if you're visiting Intel for drivers I suspect that you have some form of onboard shared graphics adapter.
Do what Loviatar suggests and run DXDiag to find out what's in your system. That way more can help can be given, because as it is we have no idea as to what system you've got other than it's a Dell.

To add to thios some of the intel onboar graphics chipsets are not compatible with Guild Wars (something abount not beignable to display a true 3D image). No matter what driver you get for those chipsets the graphics card will stilll not work and you will get errors at times about it. The only fix is to get a graphics card that is Guild Wars friendly if you have the space or slot in your computer for it.

The Graphics card for my computer is a 865G from Intel it is not supported by A-Net.
The problem I'm having is I'm using my wife’s computer which is a net work computer she received from her boss. It is compact to fit on desk so I am not sure if I can add anything to it. It isn't even allowing me to add the latest up grade to the old card. So if anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.
But like I said I may just have to do what I can do in the older chapters until I can fix the problem or buy a new system.
