Guildwars and Login Issues !!!
I don't know whats up with guildwars and areanet but they have got some serious issues.
Me and someone else bought the game and installed it.
At first we both installed it and he saw the white box heads and i didn't.
Read the forums and did the -image and it worked okay for him.
Played for about a week now he has another issue.
When he loads the game, and enters his username and password it just locks up, it didn't do this the night before as i was here when we both played.
So I decided to completely uninstall it and start over. So I reinstall it, download the basic dat file, check it, and it loaded fine.
So then I do the -image and guess what, it does the same thing. Put username / password and sits at the screen not allowing him to select the char.
Whats the deal with this game? Paid for 2 copies for this? Wow.
Any ideas?

If you have an anti virus and it has a internet scanning option that can mess it up. NOD32 is an example, just disable the scanning option and it will work fine. Other than that, not sure.

What I find troubling is that it worked for a week solid after he did the -image.
Now today as he tried to login after he enters his l/p the game freezes at the login screen allowing him to do nothing.
I am doing a defrag and see that helps it at all, maybe the dat file on his HD is corrupt, but he did redownload it so I dont know if thats even it.
Hes using Norton Anti-Virus Corp Edition, not the one you buy in the stores, I use the samething and it works on mine.
The strange thing is that I can log onto his account. Thats whats really wierd.

I'm still having login issues, and it doesn't seem to be NOD32 for me. I'm just forever at the "Connecting..." screen. Nothing ever happens after half an hour. Does anyone know why this stopped working in the past month, and what I can do to fix it?

i am pretty sure the -image is only used for updating all areas at 1 time instead of having to load little sections of updates. take out the -img and it will work fine. i think the -img isnt inteneded to use while in game, only to laod all files at once.
