As I said to your post in the the other thread....
It's not an AFK check. It was a roll back. People who were not AFK got DC'd and rolled back as well.
She should never have said what she said and you can more than likely expect a retraction.

Exactly Polgara.
She shouldn't have said what she did, I have no idea what would have possessed her to say it. However, it does make for an entertaining read....ie Evilsod & Coridan.

I stand corrected.....and thank you for pionting that out to me....its really bothersome since I only get to play a few hours here and there.....for me to waste 3-4 of those hours trying to get a title that is impossible to get without afking and wasting game time is extremely frustrating...so much for the casual gamers....and no i am not truely whinning..i am not threating to quit etc...i just think that a better way should be introduced to earn these title...250 pts per saved lock pick is ridicously low.....i have spent well over 40 of the dang things and rarely save any...and i have R3 chest title.....

I can confirm this doesn't just happen in European servers. I play on american, but went into international to afk while I slept.
Woke up this morning with the character selection screen - no 'error 7 would you like to reconnect' message or anything; lucky/unlucky titles reset, and an electricity bill that is now higher since I left my comp on doing sweet F A all night.
This happened at the last boardwalk event too. This, and the fact that someone 'forgot' to add cupcakes when the event started. This bodes really ill for the future of GW1, when a really simple event like this gets messed up.
EDIT: btw, this wasn't a 'mass' thing, it seemed to happen to people at random. My boyfriend was in the same district, afked the same amount of time and he didn't get disconnected and kept all his title progress. Only difference was that I was playing cheap rings, he was playing expensive ones
I've submitted a support ticket, I recommend anyone else who experienced this does the same.

On US servers and lost over 1k Unlucky points. Those things arent that eary to get either. So they give us a title thats clearly a grind title and then decide they dont want us to afk it. So yeah they must not want or expect anyone to max either out anytime soon if thats how they're going to be.
I knew something was off when I one: had to log back in, two: was back to the 3 stacks I had last night rather then seeing something like the six I had before going to bed.
/sigh
They need to get things straight cause thats just annoying.

I got kicked just now too and had a roll back also. I asked around and i was the only one. So yeah, they got an afk check i guess...
gg, you support botting now???
The only thing that this will do is have people write a script that changes the zone every 4-6 hours, so they won't get kicked for being afk. Good job!

I haven't read this whole thing, so idk if this has been mentioned (I'm sure it has) but after reading the first page I figure I should mention this
I AM on the AMERICAN server, and I DID experience the rollback as did a number of other people.

Grr... do some people not even bother reading the other posts in this thread. It's already been confirmed that it was NOT an afk check. Heck, the explination is like 3 posts above me.

Honestly with a thread spanning multiple pages, theres no way i'll sit down and read every post. So no I dont expect people to read all the posts either.
If it starts happening more then once to people we'll know whether or not its data corruption. But really, why do we only see this issue when the boardwalk comes around? We dont have d/c and rollbacks on normal days or during the other weekend events.

Who confirmed it Hawk? Was it gaile? Because the last statement we have from gaile, an anet employee is two posts above yours. Where she says that rollbacks "May be connected with AFK'ing".

I'm on euro and was on the rings all night, I didn't get this rollback thing, so I'm guessing It is at random? =s I just hope it doesn't happen again. Though I have been kicked out by anet twice and lsot a couple of hours.

This happened last time to me during the celestial pig event. There was no mention of an AFK check then.
Here is that thread

I'll also say I was on American servers at the boardwalk and I woke up, the rollback having affected me too. Took a screen of my progress, went to bed, woke up, and I had lost around 5k lucky and enough unlucky to put me exactly at 5,000. Not as bad as some other people, but still a waste of time.

REALITY CHECK ALL YOU ROLLBACK FANS
@ Polgara Darshiva a rollback is the entire game not individuals.
we have had that one big rollback when everybody was of for the better part of a day.
stop spewing rollback rumors when the game was not rolled back and wait until they actually can find what is wrong and fix it.

It seems it had something to do with the update last night.
I am on European Server (English-1) and my stats got rolled back to just before the update. Maybe they kicked the wrong people who were playing the good version at that time. At least I have no clue.
Nonetheless I lost around 23K Lucky points in the process. So a big waste of time this way, I did get all my tickets back but still.
Hopefully A-net comes with a statement coz I an curious to know what exactly happened.
