Please help! Can't conntect.
I started guild wars as I normally do, it downloaded and I assume installed the patch.
This is where things get tricky, the launcher just disappeared and after waiting for 15 minuets for something to happen I had to end the gw.exe process.
Since then I have been unable to connect, my screen gets stuck here and after about an half hour nothing has changed. Computer specs are here.
Thanks,
Lien

Are you using the dial-up connection or wireless connection? Also, it's kind of odd that your RAM is reporting itself as being 510MB.

Are you using anything like zone alarm, norton internet security, or other software firewall protection that's blocking Gw.exe from making outbound connections? Because your able to get through using the pathping command, but establishing an outbound connection seems to be blocked.

I disabled my firewall weeks ago to get rid of the scans while I'm in game, so its not even running at the moment, but I run ZoneAlarm while surfing the web ect.

I would check the programs list in the zone alarm configuration then, and make sure Gw.exe is listed as having allowed permissions on outbound connections and not being blocked. Also, that your wireless router's IP is listed in the trusted zone configuration (usually 192.168.0.1). For linksys routers it may be different, to find out what the router is using as an IP, go to the command prompt and type in ipconfig /all and check what the default gateway IP address is listed as. That's what should be in the trusted zone configuration in zone alarm.
From what it looks like in the report, it's currently set as 192.168.1.254
