Graphics glitch, any help appreciated!!
I've owned GW since day of release and haven't had any problems with any of my GC's on any of the campaigns, even with all the sparkly bits and 'oooooo' and 'aaaaaaaah's turned on.
However, I bought GWEN the other day and for some reason the fire effects dont work on any of the scenery. I can see the fire, but it doesnt move or do anything, it's just static.
I've tried updating my drivers on my current card and fiddling with the settings in-game, but nothing seems to work.
I know it's not a big thing, but it kinda kills the atmosphere, especially in all the fiery Charr dungeons. Kinda looks like they've got cardboard cutouts of fire everywhere to save the gas bill XD
Any help is appreciated!!

Is this only happening in GWEN, or in other campaigns as well, since you bought it?

I'd say you have some files on that cd (assuming it's shop bought and not online) that are corrupt, your data file for guild wars has added into it's base of 1's and 0's, thus conflicting with the whole file. Your graphics card would not be able to gather the information needed for its output. If this is the case, then I would suggest wiping the file and reinstalling (starting with EOTN ~ or on another computer using the same graphics card that you are using now) If you still have the same problem with it, then I'd be taking that cd back to the shop and asking for a replacement.
If however you have added GWEN to your account via the 'Online Store' then you would have to take the matter up with A.Net/NCSoft.

The fire stops working after about 5 hours of game play for me. I think it may be connected to the same bug that stops the Tormented Shield animation after awhile.
If I log out and reload then, no problem.

It happens to me as well, but it evens extends to moving water. You see the splash effects pop up, but the water is motionless. Seems to happens if I play for extended periods of time.
