No, not carbon nanotubes by there lonesome. They are being proofed with certain chemicals that release those toxins. They will resolve that situation in a 1-3 years, don't worry.

No worry here, I let you engineers make the crap. I just fix it when it inevitably decides not to play well with other things.
My area(s) of expertise are networking (I live and breath the TCP/IP suite), hardware, and the *ixs (because I am a friggin geek and enjoy the community). I never liked physics and was never interested in it enough to pay attention. I follow the technology, though. I am always interested in where we are going.
Speaking of magnetic RAM, I was really excited to know they were finally looking into semi-static memory. on a similar note, solid state drives are a step in the right direction.
I read about optical processing back in '03 (I think). Some Israeli company was claiming to have a running optical processor, however, it was too bulky and big at the time. Now I am curious how that has been progressing.

Again with the parallel RAM. Anything to do with Ramtron's F-RAM?

... oh... well... say hello to the possible future. While I can't formally disclose info, I can link you to a company to keep your eyes on.

Ah ah, I didn't specifically say anything. I linked to an article on a particular type of RAM, but that doesn't mean it will be that type. The technology utilized may be relevant.
Oh, and Rambus is doing quite well these days. After all, their XDR1 RAM is what powers the mighty Cell processor in the PS3 and supercomputers. They have some innovative ideas on RAM. F-RAM is very low density btw, and it is pointless as far as RAM goes, considering we don't need our RAM to hold data, that is what SSD technology is for.

Yes, Rambus brought up cycling! I know what you are talking about, now. I read an article on that earlier this year.
