New Audio Card
i recently bought the SC-5100 Trust soundcard, so i plugged it in the computer but when i tried to install the drivers its says that i don't have the Audio chip. I've already made sure its good in the pci slot but i can't get to install the drivers.

What operating sytem do you use? If it's Vista, XP-drivers won't do. If you are running on Vista, make sure you have disabled the onboard sound in your BIOS becouse it isn't the first time it had created a lot of trouble on Vista-computers.

Media Center Edition can be quirky. Did you check for a seperate driver, specifically for Media Center Ed?

Hmm, odd. I really don't know what to tell you... does Hardware Manager see it as an audio device?

If you're running WMC for an OS I will assume you have a TV tuner card. Try moving your new audio card to a different PCI slot that should fix it. Even if your PC doesnt have the drivers , it will still pop up when you boot up "New Hardware Found". If it didn't do this than move the PCI.

Odd that - they have drivers for 64 and 32 bit versions of Vista, the versions for XP, 2000, ME(!) and even 98. Nothing MCE specific and all bar the Vista versions are v1.0
Is this card REALLY better than your on-board sound? (Assuming your mobo has it, of course). It's a very low-budget bit of kit.
