lol, i have this sort of problem. i havent got a clue about my graphics card, its built-in and i know that if i wanted to put in a new one i would need to add something else to help with the power demmands. my fps is usually no higher than 13~ but whenever i got to bring the graphics down the fps goes down, making it run even slower. im not sure what the problem is but is there anything i can do to increase the fps by jst a few?

Seifus, is it laggy graphically? Or could it possibly be a network issue?
Are any other programs running in the background?
@ It's a Me: as a side point, be careful not to hijack threads. If you have the same problem, wait and see if it gets answered or if any other the suggested solutions fix your problem. A post comfirming that you have the same problem is not warranted. Especially if you have a different set of circumstances that are affect your system. A "wait and see, then post" attitude helps out everyone. Thanks.

It doesn't seem to be laggy but I just wonder why my FPS are so low...
No I don't have any programs running in the background that I know of (only essential ones like anti virus etc)
Or do you mean is anything else open? Nothing is open in the task bar but Guild Wars

Do you have good AV/Firewall products, or do you have Norton?

Does it happen in certain situations? I.e. when you enter a larger, crowded town? Does the FPS count drop when you experience a large number or enemies on screen simultaneously, lots of explosion type effects? If so its perfectly normal.

Your graphics card is pretty low end. Not really a big surprise that your FPS is low.

You say your fps drops, but is it randomly or in certain areas/campaigns? Some parts of Eye of the North and Nightfall are more taxing on a video card than prophecies for example. Same goes for towns full of people and areas packed with enemies.

That's true. I usually play the game at 1280x1024 and everything at high. But when i do Urgoz i have to lower everything to minimum in order to have a FPS over 20...

Might want to try Comodo Firewall Plus, its very highly rated. Microsoft Firewall is rated pretty bad.

They can block programs that are using your resources and causing FPS loss, plus they can use resources as well too, so. They can help.
