Some (or many) items are unidentified when you find them now. To ID them, go to any Outfitter NPC and buy an Identification Kit. They cost 40 gold and only have 5 uses, so use them with care of you don't have much money.

I personally don't care for the new ID system, at least not if they plan to make so many items need ID and make the ID Kits so expensive for so few uses.

Yea, I tested the Ident. pack out on some items, and all it did was give them a value...of 1. In other words, I bought a 40 gold pack in order to sell a few items for 1 gold each...

Clearly this is a system that needs more work. We haven't been testing the economy in the Beta, so this is really the first chance for the Devs to see how to tweak these things.
