Conjure Element with Troll Unguent
I haven't found this question anywhere else.
With Conjure <element> it says that you lose all enchantments. Troll Unguent isn't considered an enchantment correct? Can it also be affected by Shatter Enchantment? Is there anything that could remove Troll Unguent from a player? |

Troll Unguent is a skill. It isn't affected by anything that just hits spells, enchantments, hexes, stances, or any other category other than 'skills'. There is no way to remove Troll Unguent once it has been cast and is in effect. The best defense against Troll Unguent is to realize that you're playing against someone who uses Troll Unguent, and kill him during the 10,000 seconds it takes to activate.

Hammer Warriors vs. Troll Unguent - episode IV of "Tales from the Loser's Bracket".
"I thought I had him - he was just sitting there waving his arms around, doing nothing - but I just couldn't hit him in time! Stupid slow weapons! Finally he stopped wiggling around, and cast...I don't know what he cast. It didn't do anything. So I hit him with my hammer. It was awesome. Then he started running, because he's a Ranger with Troll Unguent. I tried to slow him down, but then I realized I'm a $%#&%$^ Hammer Warrior and don't have anything to do that with, and that my knockdown skills won't be online for another 15 seconds..." Peace, -CxE

Troll Unguent
I found that alot of the bosses had troll unguent, and it certainly didn't take 10,000 seconds for them to activate it. Some boss battles I fought took lots of time, because as I was damaging him, he regenerated all his HP, even though with my monk, 3 skills could knock him down 70-80 points. He cast it every 4-5 seconds.

originally Published by Spooky Description: For 10 seconds, you gain health regeneration +3-9. Energy Cost: 5 Casting Time: 3 seconds Recharge Time: 10 seconds Skill Type: Skill Linked Attribute: Wilderness Survival Taken from the wonderful and limitless skill section of the Guru website. Now not only a boss can't cast it ever 4-5 seconds (as it has a recharge time of 10 seconds) but health regenerationof +3-9 is not that much to brag about. |

I dunno, I'm with Ensign when he exaggerates the casting time of 3 seconds. In PvE, it's perfectly logical to have it, but I found that 3 seconds can be a LONG time to wait, especially if you're on low health (which usually means that at least ONE person is coming for you).
Is that my error for leaving it too late? Maybe... but still, 3 seconds is tolerable if you're casting a crazy spell that will cause the enemy team to scatter... not for my single self-healing spell that I may need to survive. Overall, I think it's a useful skill, but I wouldn't put points into Wilderness Survival just to take it, that's for sure.

Remember that Troll Unguent has an aftercast as well. You're really devoting 3.75 seconds to that cast, and that's a huge chunk of time for a skill that does nothing upon being cast. It's something that's fine to run in PvE, where any healing is useful, but I wouldn't even think about touching it in PvP. It's just too slow.
