Death Magic summons
Animate Bone Horror
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Exploit target corpse to animate a level 1-12 Bone Horror. Energy Cost 15 Casting Time 5 seconds Recharge Time 5 seconds Skill Type Spell Linked Attribute Death Magic So with 12 death magic, you summon a lvl 12 Bone Horror. With 15 death magic, do you summon a lvl 15 bone Horror? I played with an elementalist before and with 14 air magic, the damage done by the spell is greater than the maximum value listed... so I'm wondering about the summons. |

The variables in skill descriptions are based off the x...y where x=value at attribute level 0 and y=value at attribute level 12. So, yes, skills scale well past what you'll see on their descriptions. 12 is just the level they expect people to get to without extraordinary matters. Supposedly, skills are balanced up to att.20 or beyond to account for what happens in expansion if they were to add in more +att. skills and items that could push people higher than the current max of 18~19. Just how a skill scales depends on its progression, of course. Something like Blood Siphon doesn't gain a pip of degen every attribute rank while something like Meteor gains more than a single point of damage. But, yes, you've got the basic idea. Higher Death = Higher level for your minions.
